We will be at HS Friday before Christmas and I'm trying to figure out the best approach. We have a Hollywood& Vine res for Fantasmic at 10:25am. I am not sure if we will get to the park before that as we are flying in late the night before.

We will not be doing TOT, RNR, or SDD. We do want to do both attractions in Galaxy's Edge. We have younger kids so we will also do Toy Story Mania, Aliens, MMRR, and the many shows.

If I don't have to rush out in the morning, I would much prefer that. I have no issue being up for all the Genie+ stuff.

Is it best to buy the ILL? I am also trying to figure out how it works if I want to try for SDD by myself. That's not necessary though as I've been on before.

Any help would be appreciated - I'm trying to get whatever I can under control so my kids aren't wandering around getting exhausted.

Trying to pop this up to get a reply. Need advice. Trying to avoid Genie if I don't need to spend the cash.

So, I was there that time last year, and park was super crowded , but, you’re skipping SDD and a bunch of other long lines… with that said, i dropped this into a custom plan for touring plans to see what they said… TSM, ROTR and Smugglers Run will all be long waits… 60-90 min. But, with that said, if you go from noon - 9 pm without breaks, you can get your plan done. So, buying into ROTR may help… but that’s up to you. ROTR is a bit glitchy (last year) so it’s possible things go wrong with rides and you can’t get thru it all. It depends on how important it is to get thru the list.

Thank you for the reply. With kids, I obviously want to avoid long waits, but I also realize I'm not doing a lot of the headliners. I realize it's Christmas week so everything will be crazy. Thanks for helping!

I'd buy the ILL for ROTR. Mainly because it's so unreliable, I wouldn't want to wait standby and then not get on. If it goes down with an ILL, you can ride it whenever it comes back online.
I might do Genie+ with the expectation that you might only skip 2 or 3 lines max.

That's what I was thinking - buy the ILL and I'll decide that morning if I'm going to get Genie+. We are really not looking forward to forking out money to an already extravagant trip.
