Hello! My daughter is graduating from High School this May. She has asked for a Disney trip with just her and I for graduation gift. I have agreeed. Her younger sister was upset she wouldn't be going, but was told by the graduate when younger sister gets to graduate, then she and Mom will travel alone; so she needs to wait for her own turn!
I would like ideas to make this trip special for my graduating daughter. She is normally very quiet, enjoys Disney, and we seem to travel well together. We will probably stay at All Stars, since we plan on spending most time away from resort.
Also, any ideas what I could bring back for younger daughter. Her and I are very close too, but she will be left behind at home with Dad. I am looking forward to spending time with older daughter, but sad to leave younger daughter behind!
Thanks for your help! :)

My younger daughter will be 15 in June. Does World of Disney ( I think that is what it is called in dwtn dis) still have Precious Moments figurines with Disney theme? I thought of that as a possibility!

Ah the mother-daughter disney trip... Some of my favorite trips to Disney are the ones with me and mom.:goodvibes

For something for your graduating daughter, how about dinner one evening at the World Showcase in Epcot? My mom and I did it one year and got a later dinner reservation in Japan so we could watch Illuminations from the terrace. That's one of my favorite memories.

As a gift idea for either of your daughters, I think there's a place in Downtown Disney to get personalized t-shirts with any wording or disney character you'd like. (it may have moved to another spot since the last time I was there though.)

Another gift idea: Since your daughter's graduating high school, there's a shop in Japan in the World Showcase at Epcot where you can pick an oyster, keep the pearl inside and get it set in a necklace as a pendant. Sort of an extra special gift for an extra special occasion. :cloud9:

Hope this helped and have a great trip!

I think they do, at least they still sell them on the website. ;)
I think Vinylmation would be cool, too :wizard:
These look kinda cool, too. http://www.disneystore.com/jewelry-...rrings-by-arribas/mp/1282259/1000295+1000809/
Hopefully they still sell them when you go.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the ideas! I did not think of vinylmations and pins! The pearl from Japan is a great idea too!:goodvibes

I forgot about the pearls! thats a good idea too! And for my younger brothers birthday 2 years ago, my parents left me home and took my brother for 5 days, and they brought back for me: a shirt, pins, vynlmations, and a cute minnie stuffed animal type thing.

The pick a pearl was SO much fun! Before I left for WDW, I bought the carriage pendant from ebay! My necklace is so beautiful and goes with almost anything!

I definitely agree with what everyone is saying about the Pick a Pearl - it would be a great special gift for your daughter. Also, make sure when you are there you get her some of the Graduation Mickey ears and get some pictures of her wearing them in the park (they're totally what I'm asking for this year for my graduation :goodvibes )
