Hi, today is my fast pass day and I noticed that HS has changed the tiers in which you can pick fast passes. We would always be able to pick both ToT, RnRC and TSM, now it's only ONE out of all decent attractions. When did this happen?

Back in August when Galaxy's Edge opened (well technically 60-90 days before Galaxy's Edge opened depending on if you were club level or just staying on Disney property).

It was their solution to dispersing crowds.

I remember reading about it on here a few weeks ago. A lot of people aren't happy with the new tiering system.

It's silly. Between Galaxy's Edge and the four other attractions we're interested in, I may need to do two days in HS now.

I like the new system. I went on 12/16 which I would consider a pretty busy day and after I used my three fast passes (including Slinky) I was able to get Toy Story Mania x3, Tower of Terror, and Rock and Roll.

I’m hoping that they which that up when MMRR opens but it’s interesting that no one getting club level has said they’ve been able to get FPs for it.
I can’t remember when, relative to opening, FPs became available for FOP and Navi but I thought it was before opening. Can anyone confirm?

If you're going in mid February and get a morning SDD FP you should have no problem picking up day of FPs for the other 4 rides, especially if they're still running 14 hour days then. The new tiering completely opens up day of FP availability (except SDD). So TOT and RNR are usually available within an hour of when your checking if you refresh a few times, and in the morning they're often available within 15-20 minutes.

I am going in April 2020 and as of now I have one day of park hopping to MK to AK. The hours for April don’t coincide with hours they have had in December or will have in January for HS ( right now 6am opening and in April it’s back to 9am). I’m trying to convince my husband to get another park hopper so we can do HS and Epcot. However, the new tier system makes it feel like a waste of money. We would get there early and hope for a boarding pass for ROTR. But the likelihood of a SDD Fastpass is not likely. My kids love TSM and are not Star Wars fans. It just looks amazing. I know Mickey railroad will open in March and hope they can do some thing with the tiers. I your expierence, what is likeliness of tiers coming back w an addition to new ride?

That’s the million dollar question. No one really knows. Disney didn’t announce boarding groups before RotR opened and SR doesn’t have anything but standby. We know they don’t have FPs available for CL for MMRR or for people who have long trips and are now in the 60 day window. So it doesn’t look (right now) like MMRR is going to open with FP. I think everyone is assuming that eventually all 3 rides will have FP but right now there’s no way to know when.
My guess (which is no better than anyone else’s guess) is that they will change things sometime in late April or early May between spring break and summer just because they’ve made some of the larger changes to the FP system at that time in the past.
I have a trip in May. I’m hoping they still have the virtual queue for RotR and have one for MMRR as well. It seems like the easiest way to deal with the new rides. Even if it means everything else stays as Tier 1. But we shall see.

how long before ROTR opening did they change opening until 6am? was it within 60 days? Right now there is nothing besides normal operating hours for April.

Thanks! I don’t know if MMRR Would be a huge attraction for them to change to 6am.

1) the hours for April will change in Feb or March, to what, I don’t know
2) SDD would be unlikely regardless of tiers without booking it at least 60+4 and more likely 60+5 days out. TSM will be no problem. Then once you do your three you should have zero issue grabbing a reasonably soon FP for TOT or RNR, if those interest you.
3) New rides always shake up tiers but it sounds like from people who know things on this and other message boards that MMRR will not open with FP. We’ve never seen Disney open a ride with a VQ and then transition it to FP so we don’t know what the action standards are for it. It certainly seems strange at this point that MFSR is still not on FP.
