Anyone have the low down on the frozen activities at HS? I know I heard that for certain shows you have to get tickets before hand---like hours before hand. Anyone else have any tips to the special Frozen activities?

We did the premium package. If you value time more than money, it is great. If you are on a budget, you don't really need the package.

Assuming you don't book the premium package, I would suggest riding rides from rope drop until about 10. At 10 I would send someone to get fast passes for the singalong on NY street and have the rest of the group find a spot for the 11 am parade. There is limited parade viewing as the walkways are not as wide as MK.

We went to the funland/trading post after the parade to play in the snow, skate and shop. It was not too busy at 11:30. They had tons of princess dresses and dolls.

Have fun. My 3 year old lived it.

If you want to see the show at the hat during the fireworks get there very early as there are limited prime spots to see the show as a large viewing area is roped off for the premium package. A more viable option is to move closer to the exit and watch the show on the big screens positioned further back.

Do you have to have the extra package to do the frozen stuff? What does a regula park ticket give you access too?

The premium package gets you prime viewing for the parade, singalong and fireworks without waiting in line. Plus you get drinks and ice cream at the parade and an evening dessert party with drinks. We were traveling with an infant so it was great to walk up shortly before the parade and be at the curb, sit in the second row for the sing-along (with no wait) and be in a roped off area for the fireworks where I didn't need to worry about her stroller being bumped. Our three year old loved the dessert party especially the elsa cupcakes, Olaf cake pops, Anna push up pops, chocolate fondue and glow drinks. The sugar kept her awake until well after the fireworks ended.

The package was nice but definitely not necessary. The parade is only 5 minutes long and really no better than the frozen float in the magic kingdom parade, you can get tickets for the singalong pretty easily up through the early afternoon, and the fireworks are seen best further away from the hat (although you won't be able to see the show if you are too far back). There is no priority access to funland or Oakens trading post from the premium package.

You can do everything without the premium package as long as you are willing to wait for a spot for the parade and fireworks. There are characters dancing by the hat while you wait for the fireworks so it seemed like none of the kids minded waiting for the fireworks.

If you are on a budget, I would not give up a character meal, bippidy boppity boutique or the Halloween party in order to do the premium package.

If you are going download the aurasma app. It lets you take photos in certain locations and insert Olaf, Sven and the trolls (for free). In addition some of the photopass photographers can add Anna and elsa to pictures if you are buying memory maker.

We are here now. Get (free) tickets for the sing along. The line for tickets is by Lightning McQueen and Mater. It's a cute, fun show.

I value time, and my husband's sanity!, so I booked the package:). I did have to move my FP+ for Toy Story until later in the day but such is life!!

Thank you so much! I thought the girls might enjoy making a snow man and checking out the shop with all the frozen stuff in it.. I was afraid to go to HS because I assumed we couldn't get into any frozen stuff without the tickets and didn't want to go and have them upset. THANKS! I totally didn't understand the tickets.
