HS and AK Extra Evening Hours announced

Anyone know if this is just seasonal? We go in Jan and not sure if this will still be offered for AK and HS.

Last year they were basically as a replacement for magic kingdom evening hours during the months of Halloween and Christmas parties. We got to do animal kingdom in December and it was pretty incredible. Once the parties are over it was back to just Epcot and magic kingdom in January.

I doubt it. The last available date now showing on the MDE app calendar is October 12, the day after the first AK Extended Evening. I don't think Disney put out a press release with all the Extended Evening hours for this fall. The bloggers seem to have simply seen AK on the calendar and are reporting that fact.

Thanks. I'd love to be able to see Pandora in the dark. We've only every experienced it at night during AP previews ages ago.

Yeah I don’t remember them doing an announcement last year other than there would be AK and HS dates. We changed up our plans relatively last minute when it was revealed an animal kingdom evening hours would fall the day we arrived. Basically we found out when the hours got released on their normal cadence

A previous article said it started September 25th, a Wednesday. it looks like HS is replacing MK in the rotation. which makes sense with MNSSHP starting.

MDE shows HS with extended evening hours on 9/25 and 10/2 (both Wednesdays), but not Wednesday, 10/9. The week of 10/7 has EEH on Monday at Epcot and AK on Friday. I've been watching pretty closely since we will be there the week of 10/14. So far, 10/14 has EEH at Epcot - waiting to see when/if there will be a second one that week.

Last year there were a couple double Epcot weeks. But usually AK or HS and Epcot. The nights varied if I remember correctly. We did AK on a Thursday.

When you say double Epcot weeks do you mean 2 Epcot EEH in one week? If so, did they also have one night during those weeks for AK or HS? Thanks!

We are going Oct 9th - 13th. Was planning on going to AK after we land then hopping to MK for Dessert Party and EE. But nothing is showing for extra hours on the App for the 9th. (Shows 7th at Epcot and 11th at AK but nothing for Wednesday the 9th, which is normally a MK Extra Hours). Seems odd they would not have anything - ugghhh!

For people looking for EEH in January at AK, during the last 3 Januarys there have not been EEH. However, if you want to see Pandora after dark, I was able to see it this past year (and I probably could have the previous year, but neither me nor my ECV wanted to put up with the rain). And yes, Pandora is WELL worth seeing after dark. AK was open until 7:00 this year, and sunset was around 6:15. So it gave me enough time to walk around in Pandora and enjoy the sights. I hope the hours are the same next January.

AGREE! UGGGHHHHH! we are there that week, and really hoped for extended hours at HS, and for whatever reason, they are happening the week AFTER on Wed, and before, just not that week. But we're happy to get to try AK anyway on Thursday. I don't think we'll get a whole lot out of that, since they're early, like 6-8, but we'll see. hopefully. I think the later the EE, the better, less folks, Same when parks open extra early.
Anyway, we're bummed too, because we did HS last year for EE , and it was great

Interesting - I'm coming in Wed 1/8 before I run Marathon Weekend and am planning my week so far assuming Hollywood Studios remains as the Wednesday EEH.

It sounds like in years past HS replaced MK just until the parties are over?
