HS After Hours and Parking

Hello -

We are planning on attending the HS after hours event in February. It's been years since we've eaten at Boma and we are considering going there before the event. Anyone know if we can eat at Boma and catch the bus over to HS from AKL or would we need to drive over after? In the past we've never had an issue but I'm wondering if this has changed since they've started charging for overnight guests.

Where are you sleeping that night? At AKL or elsewhere? If I was going to sleep elsewhere, I’d drive to DHS after dinner simply for the convenience of leaving DHS in my car after the event. If I were staying at AKL, I might take the bus in both directions.

There will be transportation back to AKL after the event so either option should work.

Technically, you’re only supposed to park a resort while you are at that resort for your ADR. You’re not supposed to park there while you leave to go to a park. Can you get away with it? Probably. But you may add quite a bit of time onto your trip home after the AH. You will have to wait for a bus which may go to more than 1 resort. Depending on crowds, you may not get on the first bus. Then the ride to AK, then finally get to your car. Parking is right there at Studios, its not like at MK where you need to get to the TTC. It would be so much quicker & convenient to just go to your car & drive right home from Studios.

Once your dining reservation is complete, guests are required to move their car.

I also agree with @focusondisney that it would be much easier to get to your car at DHS as opposed to taking a bus to AKL.
