HRH Velvet Session

Has anyone ever attended a Velvet Session at HRH? Did you enjoy it? We will be there while one if going on so I did RSVP in case we decide to go. Just wondered if it was worth the $40, thanks!

We really had a lot of fun at Velvet Sessions. It was $30 pp when we went as it was Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. They were great! They only have certain mixed drinks that are free, so if you want just a beer, expect to pay for that. I can't remember if soda was free or not. They did pass around appetizers, but sometimes you had to chase the server down. Mike went dressed in a button down shirt and shorts and felt underdressed. He got over it eventually, but a lot of locals go, and many are pretty dressed up.

We would do it again if we liked the performers. Have fun!

My DH and I have gone every month for about three years now. We have a lot of fun. We are going tomorrow night, the price is $25.00 pp. There are two of the guys from the band Boston that will be playing. Their last name is Cosmo, so I will assume that the free drinks are cosmos! There is not a lot of places to sit so where comfortable shoes!

I am usually on the Dis VMK board, but thought I would check and see if there was a post about the velvet sessions.

How do we find out who's performing? Also, how do we make a reservation & what's the reservation policy?

We're not sure if we'll be able to go, but don't want to wait until the last minute to book & risk them being sold out. Our DS can't make up his mind on whether or not he wants to bring along a friend. If he does, we could go for a little while & send them to the arcade with plenty of quarters. If not, we wouldn't be able to make it.

i signed up thru the site and receive the emails monthly on who is playing there.
you rsvp thru the email you receive for velvet sessions.

i only go to universal once a year but wanted to sign up anyway.
if someone i enjoy will be there when i am in october, i would go.

OMG macraven, you will LOVE the Halloween velvet sessions! They fix up the lobby with halloween decorations and there is also a costume contest! You dont have to dress up, but the costumes are fun to look at. I will post some pictures from last october velvet sessions if you guys want. Also, if you are planning on going to the october velvet sessions you might want to RSVP as soon as the invites go out as this is thier biggest velvet party of the year.

We go every year during october, so maybe I will see you there.

i already made my ressies for oct 6-10

i am in chicagoland and with air expensive and not mentioning room cost there, it would be tight to make a repeat trip back to hrh.

the velevet sessions are always the last thursday of every month. I will post photos as soon as I am at my computer.
