HRH & travelhero.com?

I had reservations at HRH thru universal website at $229 until I found the same garden view 2 queen room for $179 at travelhero.com Called to confirm it after I got the e-mail and person at universal on the phone said"what travel agent did you go thru?" Told her none, that I did it on line and I had already given her the confirm # She said "what is the travel agent's phone#?" Again I told her about travelhero.com and then she said" I have your reservation but I need you to verify the phone # of travel agent". After I argued again, she said oh, it's here and its a AAA rate so bring ID when you check in. Should I be concerned? I haven't cancelled the first one at $229 yet because I thought this was a little wierd. My e-mail confirmation is accurate. What would you do?

Hold on for a day or two. I also am double-booked (one is AAA rate and one through travelhero.com). I will call Universal tomorrow and try to confirm my reservation made via travelhero and see what they say. I'll post the results.

Watch out!

I made my reservations through TravelHero.com when I saw an outstanding rate posted, certainly lower than anywhere else. It was the RP, and I even decided to cancel our HRH where teh only discount available right at Christmas was AAA. When I contacted them to request the amount in full to pay it off they told me the hotel would not honor that rate...

And to whoever made similar reservations for similar dates, they stated that there aren't any guarantees taht the hotel will honor those rates. Made me mad...
