I'm planning our first ever trip to Universal in the spring! Been to WDW quite a few times but never quite made it off Disney property. Anyone out there have any photos of a standard room at HRH they can share? I've seen all the "marketing" photos but would love to see "reality". Can't wait for our trip...it'll be a loooonnnnggg winter.

We just came back from a standard room at HRH last week. Don't have any photos unfortunately. The room was pretty large. There was a flat screen TV and music player for CDs which was really nice. Also a very nice bar and coffee maker, etc. I was on the pet floor so this may have been an issue but the furniture was basic, a little scratched up and tired but not too bad. This was a change from my time there a few years back. Also they changed the duvets on the bed, did not like that much, they used to be a beautiful white. I have to say this but the duvets are this brown plastic like material that is not that nice (seemed like an outdoor furniture type material), but the bed itself was sooooooooooooooo unbelievably comfortable. The sheets were to die for. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous! So large and lovely. So again we were in a basic room on the first floor which was the pet floor, so that may account for a couple issues but for the most part very nice. The hotel is just absolutely incredible, beautiful! The pool area, the walkways, the proximity to the parks, everything. Another little pet peeve I had that was a little bothersome was the window in my room was dirty, this bugged me, but otherwise the room was immaculate.

PS Actually BettyCv's report above shows the room exactly. The only thing different from ours was that there was no vanity outside the bathroom, not sure why, seemed our bathroom was larger, but otherwise looked exactly the same as her pics. Have fun! The hotel itself is just beautiful.

Thanks...this is just what I needed. We have ressies for an obstructed view room too, so it was good to see what we might get. We're only there for 2 nights (the rest of the time at SSR), so I'd rather save the $$$ and spend it on something else...like food!

The link for Epcot/Universal Feb. 2007 in my sig has pix of the standard rooms....you have to scroll about 1/2 way tho....we did Epcot first, and then over to HRH.
