Checked in on Friday, room ready around 1PM, according to their call. On Saturday we returned to our room around 4:30, no sign of housekeeping. :( They were, in fact, still way down the hall. Since DH and girls had already collapsed on the messy beds, and I was unable to shower, I simply tracked down a housekeeper and swapped towels and got mroe shampoo and coffee. Naturally on our check out day they were banging on the door at 9AM in spite of the do not disturb sign! Think we'll head back to Portofino Bay next time.

It was no better at the RPR. We just got back yesterday. One day we got in around 4pm and no room service. We called in a request and then left for another hour. Came back at 5pm and still no service. I just traded towels with a housekeeper down the hall. At 5:30pm they knocked and I sent them away. I think they techinically have until 5:30 to finish the rooms!

PBH was not much better, but then a lot depends on them cleaning rooms when people checkout at 11 for new ones arriving, so if you are out of your room early i found it was usually cleaned quite early.
They will rap your door on checkout at all the resorts irrelevant if you have do not disturb sign.

Calling star service the night before your departure is usually the best way to prevent housekeeping from knocking on your door before your check-out time. If you call the day before a DND is added to the houskeepers manifest and they will not bother you.

Thanks for that heads up, is that strictly for the HRH or is there the equivalent at the Portofino as well?

All three hotels have a star service button on the in-room phone.
