Please let me know if you would you rather stay at the Hard Rock Hotel or the Royal Pacific. Right now I have the RPR reserved for 7 nights. The rate difference is only around 140.00 for entire trip if I switch to the Hard Rock. We plan to go to Disney for 4 of the days and Universal for the other 3.

Are the rooms that much bigger? Is HRH too loud? Is the pool too shallow to actually swim in?

We have two boys ages 10 and 7.

I need guidance! Help please!!

you can pool hop...so, you can swim at any of the pools! we're cheap...we're staying at RPR...and, we don't spend much time in the room.....$140 doesn't seem like a lot, but it's food for us. regarding room size, sorry, can't help there (RPR has smallest rooms of the 3 tho, i think?) it's only the 3 of us, so we don't need much room! whatever you decide, you're sure to have fun!

Of the 2, we prefer HRH. We're staying there again in July. :sunny: Our DS's(14) choice. The rooms are bigger at HRH, & it's an easy walk to the parks. The pool is shallow, but really nice. The resort is louder than RPR, because it's the happenin' place to be. ;) That doesn't bother us though. I think your 10 yr. old would prefer HRH.

RPR is more relaxing. We had a beautiful view. Your 7 yr. old may like their pool better. Personally, DH & I both think RPR looks cheaper than the others. All UO hotels are deluxe hotels. To us, RPR was a little closer to a WDW moderate than the other 2. It's still a beautiful hotel. I don't think you could go wrong with either. :)

byfar, we prefer RPR and not just because its the cheapest, although that did have something to do with it. RPR is BEAUTIFUL!!! the pool is great and the scenery is lovely, as are also the rooms. definitely my pick!!

I have not stayed at HRH, but stayed at RPH in 2004 with a total of three people and also brought food and drink with us to the room, cooler and so on..

we were fine room wise, i thought the resort was great i loved the tropical feel. i just wished the pool had a slide for my 10 yr at the time, so one day we went over to HRH and let him swim and slide for a couple of hrs.

I am hoping to go back this summer and would stay there again and like bubba's mom said 140.00 not much not hey it pays for the food...

Even our family is split on those 2. Personally I love RPR. I just love the tropical theme. The pool area is great for younger kids since they have that ship you can play on.
My teens however love HRH. Its just cool and they need to stay where the cool ppl stay :teeth: They like the pool with the music piped in and its closer to the parks incase you want to walk (or have to, they dont run the boats when there is lightening).
I really dont think you would be disappointed with either.

Our family's split on the UO hotels also. DH & I prefer PBH, but our DS usually wins & we stay at HRH. Personally, I think that if you take a good look at the resorts inside & out it becomes apparent why one is cheaper than the other. No offense to those who love RPR, but it definitely doesn't look like it was as expensive to build as the other 2. We really enjoyed our stay there, but didn't think it was as nice as HRH & PBH. FWIW, PBH is the nicest of the 3 hotels. :)
