I SO DO NOT want to do laundry and I remember how very small and crowded it was at the HRH laundry room! Does anyone remember the hours and the best time to suffer through this chore?

I can't tell you the hours, but I will say that there is no good time. We were at the HRH 6/23-6/25. We had clothes that got wet on the rides that we wanted to dry. There is not time of the day or night until about 9:30 that we didn't stop down to see if a dryer was open. With 2 washing machines and 2 dryers for the entire resort, doing laundry is a joke! It's almost as bad here at the Dolphine, but at least they have 10 of each machine!

Just what I thought! Last year my DH retired from the parks by 1pm and did the laundry. I remember going and getting it from the dryer and how crowded it was and people just waiting for you to get on out. I would think leaving your laundry in a machine unattended is NOT a good idea. What about going to a local laundrymat? Sounds like a complete waste of time to me.

When we stayed at the royal pacific in my bathroom I found out there was a retractable clothes line in the shower. You pull the line from the left side of the shower and put it in the connector to the right of the shower head. If you throw just a few clothes pins in your suitcase it will be a convenient although time consuming way to dry your clothes.(not to mention free) I found the washers and dryers and dryers at the royal pacific to eat quarters like they were going out of style. And it seemed no matter how much time I put on the dryers my clothes never got dry all the way. You'll have to find out for yourself if the hardrock or portifino offer the retractable clothes line in the shower.

The best I remember HR had 2 laundry rooms with 2 washers/dryers each, which is still not nearly enough for that resort. Our last trip there was a woman in the HR laundry room who was staying at PBR. She said there were no laundry rooms at PBR so she had to come to the HR to do laundry! I imagine that only makes the HR laundry more crowded.

I found the best time was very early in the a.m.

Did you remember the hours? I bet she couldn't fnd the laundry rooms at the other resort. I can't imagine that the PBR didn't have any.

I didn't think that the laundry rooms closed. I went early (7am).
I only had DD10's undershirt and it never did dry completely so the driers aren't the best.
