It may be due to the fact you only want 1 day and may have to call the hotel direct but if you want to try PBH or RPR they are avalible for they day you want
Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Thanks - I went ahead and booked RPR instead....can't wait! :thumbsup2

Could be adding to the Scottish contingent once we have figured out our days :)

RPR is a great place and we stayed there for the first time this year and now DW won't stay anywhere else.
so we will cut vacation early this year to be able to stay at RPR in july and we will be there on july 6th also :thumbsup2

We are there the first 2 weeks of July so might look like a Celtic gathering  what with the Scots - Welsh and Irish.
Glad to see you booked Lawerence, hopefully see you again this year.

Now that would be scary :rotfl:

Can't decide whether to stick with one day at HRH; preferably, with 2 days FOTL or extend to 2nights/3 days FOTL. As first time Orlando visitors do not want to feel overwhelmed trying to do it all :)

On a first visit, as you know and are doing, it is important to plan your days carefully and go to parks on the least crowded days, early. I presume you will be visiting the 4 Disney, 1 Sea World and the 2 Universal parks, making 7 parks, 7 days in total. When we go we visit each park twice in the fortnight, so it is pretty hectic but very enjoyable.

What I would suggest is that you book two days in the Hard Rock smack in the middle of your vacation and enjoy 2 days of being able to totally chill, recharge the batteries and enjoy the FOTL passes at both those parks. The Universal hotels are amazing and being able to stroll in to any of the parks at any time of the day and go straight on to the ride is priceless. Remember you also have Citywalk and the hotels are so close it is easy to walk back and relax by the pool for a while if you want, plus you don't have to drive for a couple of days unless you want to.

If i was in your position , and this is after lots of info and recomendations, from people on my first visit, i would do Universal at the end of your stay.
After being able to walk on using FOTL at Universal, and going back to Disney with all the queues:eek:

For the last 4 years we have gone to Orlando in July. On Disney days we always get to the park before opening, go on the park's least busy day and use fast pass. As a result we don't have to line up at all or have minimal lines (we cannot face lines after staying onsite at Universal), granted we don't do all the rides in the park though and we do know exactly what to do in each park and the route to take.

That would be my suggestion as well. Nothing like taking it easy w/FOTL after the hectic-ness that is Disney (albeit a wonderful hectic-ness!!).

Staying on-site, being able to use unlimited FOTL, being able to easily walk back to your resort for a rest or swim...priceless...and a wonderful way to end a vacay!!

and being able to have a lie in, and not be up at 6 or 7, to be at the park for opening.

I absolutely love this perk of staying onsite at Universal, makes it so relaxing. We strolled in after 10 in July, plenty of people there and we were just straight on the rides. Trouble is you get spoilt and don't ever want to line up. When I see people lining up for Popeye for 1 1/2 wait I just couldn't do that but to avoid that (if not staying onsite) you have to be at the parks first thing.
