Plan on making ressies for HRH for next April. Do I need to get EC now and then get another one before our trip next year or can I book entertainment rate and order card when 2002 cards are available? If I book room at regular rate can I change it to EC rate later? Thanks for any help. We've done the Disney thing several times and I feel confident with what I am doing with that part of the trip but feel unsure about this area even after reading boards.

You can make reservations now and then buy the 2002 book when it comes out. Sometimes they don't even ask to see the card when you check in, but I wouldn't take that chance. Just book with the Entertainment rate and buy it later.

If you make your reservation now at the regular price can you switch it to the entertainment rate later?? I think I read somewhere that the hotel doesn't offer it as much if it is too booked for a certain date.

I booked for next Easter and was told to keep calling in the fall to see if the rate is out. An interesting point is that the Thursday after Easter my room rate drops $20.00 per night, it didn't matter if you check-in during a peak time.

Supposedly the entertainment rate is only given until the hotel reaches 80% occupancy. I'm not sure if there are many people making ressies now and hoping for the e rate if they'll just have too many reservations and not offer the rate.

I made ressies last week for the HRH with Entertainment card discount for October 3-7. They did not ask me for the card # or anything so you can buy it later. When I made my reservation, at first it was without the discount. When I called back to apply the disc, they cancelled my original ressie and had to make a new one. Hope this helps somewhat...

Thanks for the responses. I called today to book two nights. I used the Loews 800# and the person I talked to was very helpful. She said to keep calling back weekly to check on discounted rates because they never know when they will be put into the system. Again thanks to everyone for your responses.
