Any opinions on hrh club level for 7 nights for $2300 I know I am getting 30% off for the stay more discount. Will I ever get a better price? We are a family of 4 two boys 9 and 13 I hate to admit this but we have never seen a harry potter film. How many days of parks do you think we should get. We are planning alot of down time to enjoy the hotel. Last year they begged to stay at the pool and not go to Epcot. So I am trying to learn to spend my money in the right place. This will be are first trip to universal.

what are your dates?

have you booked a package?
it is cheaper not to.
do the room and tickets separate.

i booked with the SMSM promo for october '12 for 9 nights.
i'm at rph and it is less than what you are paying.

Last week i checked and the AAA rates are more than the SMSM promo.
The AP rates have not been released yet for my time period.

Fri and Sat nights have higher rates than the other days of the week.

I'm not a parry hotter fan also but i really do enjoy potterville for the rides and shops.

go early entry as a park guest and avoid the crowds.
return the last hour before the park closes for hopefully, less peeps in that same section.

give us your dates.
don't know if you are going during a crowded time period or not.
if you are, utilize the express lines where available.

looking at my email, rates have increased for the same time period from last year by about $5-6 each night.

right now, the promo rate you received is the best one out there.
or at least it is for me for my october stay there.

when you stay at one onsite hotel, you can pool hop to the other 2 hotel pools.
all 3 hotels have pool side activities.

We are looking at the last week of april or first week of may, I found a crowd calander that said it should not be a busy time. Do you know what time the parks usually close that time of year? It is not posted yet. I have not booked anything yet but plan to very soon. I'd appreciate any club level insite. I have heard alot of negative but I think my boys would think it is cool especially not having a fridge in the room.

you'll have the mini bar fridge in your room.
turn down the key to it so you won't have unexpected charges in case ......

you are going at a great time. great weather, low crowds.
park hours should be similar to february's if i remember correctly.
parks closing 8 maybe later.

at some part in May the hours will start to be extended.

it could be the april hours are not up yet due to predicting crowds, etc.
Easter is on the 8th and the parks tend to thin out a week after that.

i'm sure one of the TM's that work the park can correct me on that.

i have stayed at club level at hrh.
it has the smallest club room of the 3 onsite hotels.

i always requested a room near the elevators when staying club there.
there are many long corridors and i prefer a shorter walk to club and elevators.

once you get off the elevator at 7th floor at HR, the lounge will be steps away.

i believe the club hours for refreshments/food offerings are listed on line.
you can read the daily papers at the lounge, borrow cd's for your room, use the computer, watch tv, take food/snacks back to your room, visit with the TM's, etc in the lounge.

you can have access to the lounge on the day you check out.
if your flight leaves later in the day and you check out at 11, you can still utilize the lounge. have the front desk key your card so it will still allow you to go to the 7th floor.

you'll negativity on any hotel in the forums.
people like different things.

hrh was the first for me for staying club.
then i started staying at rph and have done club there.

there is a difference of set up, lounge and food offerings between the two.

i'm sure you will be very happy staying at club level at hrh.
since it is your first time there, you will be thrilled.

i think the best views on 7th floor are those that face the pool and partial view of the parks.
the view of the entrance of hrh is nice but i prefer the bright lights and seeing other people outside.

when you make your ressie, you can request a pool view.

We are also a family of 4, with 2 boys that are 4 years apart. Our normal stays at Universal are just a couple of nights. We can stay at Disney for 2 weeks, and our boys are entertained, but they tire of Universal after a couple of days. One year, we decided to stay at HRH for 5 nights, when the boys were about 11 and 7. They were done with Universal by day 3, and begging to go to EPCOT.

We just returned from a stay at PBH, club level, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. When we return to Universal in June, we will stay club level again.
