sorry to ask but i am just so confused..
Have phoned HRH to get quote for 4 night stay in august, and have been quoted with ap rate, 936.0 dollars. (This includes cost of ap and my 14 day pass) We have already got accomodation, but wanted to end hols on a bang, and FOTL obviously has no price :lmao:
Anyway, this is the kids eat stay and play free rate, having 3 kids, of 8 6 and 3 just wanted some advice.
a. is it worth the extra money?
b. should we go club as the kids eat free anyway? except breakfast
c. anyone stayed club, what are the other advantages?
d. do you ahev to pay parking fees?
e. if so how much?
f. is hrh the most appropriate for small kids?
g. are the standard rooms big enough for 5?
h. how much will brekkie cost if we dont go club?
i. can i go mad now...?

I've never stayed on Club Level at the HRH (only the Portofino). Club Level offers the complimentary snacks and beverages, continental style breakfast and a generally higher level of service plus access to the lounge and dedicated floor of course.

Parking is about $6/day for self-park and $12 for valet. They charge it to the room each day.

I'm not sure if the HRH is the "most" appropiate for small children, but our three absolutely loved it here. It is DS's (who is now 8) favourite hotel - it has a truly amazing swimming pool complex and is literally 5 minutes walk from the parks. Portofino is a little far out, but still has a great pool and much larger rooms.

We stayed in a standard room on our first trip and although it was okay, we probably would upgrade to deluxe next time (we did this at Portofino). Reasons for this:
1. Deluxe rooms at HRH have 2 queens plus a fold-out sofa bed (so there is no need to pay the $25/night for a roll-away bed).
2. The standard rooms are a little too small for five (in my opinion). They are still comfortable (and it is great having a separate sink outside of the bathroom) but the deluxe rooms offer much more space.
3. There is a chance that your Deluxe Room will be located on the club floor - as there are a few here (and you can't book a deluxe club - so people get upgraded to "deluxe club" from "deluxe-regular" often).

Breakfast at "The Kitchen" isn't cheap, but it is excellent quality and the service is exceptional. It's buffet-style, and costs around $20 (with tax) for adults and about half that for children. There is also a place nearby which serves breakfast snacks.

HTH :)

Does it have to be 4 days? We did two nights at the HRH, arrived about 9am the first day got our room keys which give you FOTL and left on the third day about 2pm. We thought we`d had loads of time there.
We liked HRH but DD who was 17 didn`t like it as much as she thought she would - but maybe that`s 17 year olds for you! The theming is all rock with cases full of rock memorabilia.
The pool is very nice and not too deep - so good for small children.
We liked the rooms very, very spacious, I think you`d be fine with a std room. We never tried the buffet breakfast - just ate at the snack bar which was fine but expensive.
Probably the best thing about the HRH is the location - that cannot be beaten - its just a stroll to Universal Studios and another 5 mins to IOA.
