Day 2
I had arranged for a wake up call from Dennis The Menace and he promptly called at 7am. Gotta love that kid! I took a shower and when I got out the kids were ready to roll. DH on the other hand was complaining about how early it was but he reluctantly got out of bed and we were off to the parks by 8:30. I grabbed coffee from Emack and Bollios <thank God for Starbucks coffee>! We chose to walk to UO and took a short path which took us exactly 5 minutes to complete. We were pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the parks! Picked up our tickets from the E-Kiosk outside the park, entered and processed the annual passes within 10 minutes. It was a very easy transaction. DD teased everyone and said she had the best picture on the passes which was true. She insisted that we do Jimmy Neutron first as we had never done this attraction before. Wait time posted was already 40 minutes by the time we got there. I took out our magic room keys and we were in within 2 minutes. We decided we were going to love FOTL immediately! DD loved this attraction and so did I. DS decided it was lame but I saw him enjoying it the entire time. After all, It isnt cool for a teenager to enjoy Sponge Bob. DH complained about the pre-show, said it was much too long. Next was Shrek. Wait time was posted at 60 minutes but we were in the pre-show within 5 minutes. By now we felt like celebrities. Way to go Universal! Now this pre-show WAS long and I think they could have shortened it a bit but what the heck, we were on vacation, whats the rush! We all enjoyed this attraction and felt it was the best 4D movie we had ever seen. Off to Earthquake next and then Jaws. Both classics and both very enjoyable. We decided to head out for an early lunch as we hadnt had breakfast and then hit IOA. We ended up at The Hard Rock Café. Everyone had burgers and fries. The bill totaled $35 with AP discount, not bad! We entered IOA around 12:30PM. It was rather crowded but we had the magic keys so who cared? Spiderman was first. We LOVE this attraction! Its truly amazing and I still cant figure out how they accomplish it. The kids were dying to try Popeye because we werent able to do it last March due to the weather being so chilly. We all got soaked and DH wasnt happy. See, he hates getting wet on rides. You would think he would have had a clue as to what was going to happen when he saw everyone disembarking. We rode this one 3 times in a row. We were wet already so why not be drenched! We headed back to HRH after this to change and go swimming. The pool at this resort is wonderful. Plenty of lounge chairs available, palm trees are plentiful and the zero entry is great for the kids. DD immediately made friends with some other girls and played in the water until 4:30. Went back to the room, showered and went back to the parks. We rode MIB, Back to the Future and ET and departed to City Walk for dinner. We ate at Pastamore. Food was great there and we spent $50 with AP discount. Walked around Citywalk for a while and then DD wanted swimming again. She is secretly a fish I swear! DS was dying to go and see Freddie Vs. Jason so I took him to the movies at the Cineplex on City Walk. I wont comment on the movie except for the fact that I almost fell asleep. We arrived back at HRH at 11:30 PM. DH and DD already sleeping. We quietly arranged for a wakeup call and fell off to sleep ourselves.
Day 3 and Day 4 were MGM and Magic Kingdom respectfully which Ill post on the Disney Boards.
