Supporting Cast, My sister, her hubby,my nephew, my dad, his GF, two couples from our town.
Headed for Universal Studios about 8:30 am, wasnt open yet. We were the 1st in line!!! As soon as the doors opened we headed in to the Boulangerie (spelling?) for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. We then went right to Shrek, what a great show, except the man next to me had a SCREAMING kid in his lap the whole show....I very politely asked the guy to have some consideration and get the kid out of there, but he didnt. It really ruined the show, only heard about half of what was said. This man ruined the show for everyone around us. I have kids, and I have had to leave shows in the past when they were little and wouldnt stop crying or talking or whatever. So please if your kid is that scared, please take him or her out and dont ruin the show for other people. Ok, off my soapbox.
The park was pretty empty and we were able to do everything except ET, Terminator, and Back to the Future by 1:30. That included my fav show, Beetlejuice, that is soo funny. We all got a kick out of that show. Sidenote, DD10 got picked at Earthquake to pull the rope. It was pretty funny, she did not know what would happen.
We headed back to the Pool at the HRH, We had booked cabana 10. The theme is Stevie Wonder and looks like a big aquarium. My dad and his GF drove up from Punta Gorda to visit with us for the afternoon. We had a great time. The kids swam all afternoon. My dad was quite impressed with the HRH, he visited us at the RPR last year and agreed that the HRH was much cooler. Our cabana neighbor was bjakmom from the "boards" it was great meeting her and her family, they were very friendly and made great pool neighbors.
We hung out at the pool and then headed to Citywalk. We went straight to Pat O'Briens and had lots of fun. (dueling pianos and singing along.)
Dad and his GF decided to head back home around 9pm, so I walked him back to the HRH and we stopped in the Velvet Bar to get his parking ticket validated. We had a quick beer and said our goodbyes.
When I got back to the Pat OBriens the kids were starving, so we headed to NASCAR for a quick dinner and for a few video games. Really ran out of gas at 10 pm and headed back to the HRH to go to bed. (guess I am getting old, used to be able to close the bars at citywalk, now I have trouble seeing 10 pm, LOL.
