I'm really not sure what the specific differences between child and adult editions are. I think the adult editions have more details about the author and such, i.e. Prefaces and biographies. I believe there's one edition in the US, but mugglenet calls it the child edition for some reason.

Sorry to go straight back to the cover, but I have a question for you guys:

Look at the full jacket for the US version. Could the curtains on the sides be the veil that Sirus disappeared into in the Department of Mysteries? If so, could the people behind Harry be the voices that he heard behind the veil before the battle?

No the locket was heart shaped that looks more like a pouch of some kind But yes the book needs to come out soon!

The curtains are probably the veil, the people are most likely the "dead". I bet the necklace was that Slytherin Locket, but it wasn't clear enough to see whether or not it had a S on it.

Looks like it's all going to go down in the Ministry of Magic.

I would love to know where their wands are and what they're reaching for. Why are they that close without killing each other?

I read on amazon.com that this is the first cover that has Voldemort on it. I saw the cover and didn't recognize who could be He Who Must Not Be Named.

Remember the locket that the gang found in Grimmauld Place when they were cleaning up? The locket wouldn't open no matter who tried to. I have a feeling that this is the same locket that's on the UK Adult cover, which makes the locket important. I think it's a Horcrux or something.

That's what I meant, that necklace belongs to Salazar Slytherin. It's probably a horcrux.

Three lockets:

The one found in Grimmauld place.

The dummy Horcrux that Dumbledore and Harry found in the lair.

The real Horcrux that R.A.B. got. R.A.B. destroyed it, I believe. I have to reread the note found in the dummy Horcrux.
