HP digi camera

Anyone buy or have the HP 5 megapixel camera? I looked at the one at Wal-Mart, and I put it on layaway. Only found one review online for it. Just thought I would check here. Only has a 4x digital zoom, but no optical. Do I need an optical zoom?

I actually have both in my posession. Since Walmart opened first, I asked if they had the Kodak to price match (it was a few dollars less than HP). He told me that the kodak is a special and if I was happy with the Kodak, I'd be happy with HP. I was afraid target might only have a few cameras so I got it knowing it was returnable.

Trying now to decide if either is right for me.

We bought one of the HP's from Wal-Mart and LOVE it. The pictures are clear and I was standing on my front porch taking pictures of cars that were passing at 45 MPH and the camera was catching them with no blur.

The optical zoom is nice, but you really pay for that. The digital zoom on this HP is cool because it shows you a lightly shaded area and only the object that isn't shaded is what the camera actually takes the picture of. My wife took it to her work and tried it out with inside pictures and she was very pleased with the pictures. We bought this camera for our trip to WDW next month and it really appears as if it was well worth the price paid. We even bought a 512 SD card and when we put it in the camera it said that it would hold 500 pictures and that was on the highest setting! My wife also was very pleased with the ease of operation, and how small the booklet was that came with the camera. I think that my 9 year old could operate this camera within just a few minutes of picking it up.
