We've got squash! Yellow and zuchinni. Grilled some yellow squash Saturday night. It was so good!

We're growing acorn squash for the first time. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Tomatos are on the vine.

We planted beans but we're not sure if we will get any.

And then we have some things growing that we thought were cantalope but we are not sure now. The plants don't look like cantalope plants but I guess we shall see.

How is your garden doing?

I had to double check where you live, Kirby, because you're so far ahead of us!! :D

Your garden must be a substantial size to grow all that! :) We don't have a veggies garden (unfortunately), not enough room. We do container tomatoes, and last year grew pole beans, although I'm not sure if we'll be doing that this year.

Grilled squash sounds delicious! ::yes:: Good luck with your acorn squash, keep us posted on it's progress, okay? :)

Me too, I had to check to see your location. My tomato and pepper plants are still in little peat cups, one hill of cucumbers has germinated, another one is planned and I've had some asparagus, but mostly this is prep time, I am slow.

Congratulations on such bounty!

Bobbi:D

Thanks! Our garden is always an experiment. It's actually smaller this year because we have to fence it in. Our black lab dug up everything that didn't have cages around them. She used our cantalope for chew toys. Two years ago we had pumpkins come up from seeds that we had thrown out there the year before. It was amazing.

We really need some rain. We should be harvesting plums sometime soon too. I noticed the other day that they were getting a little color on them.

I do the garden mostly for my dad. He is blind and especially likes tomatos. So those are mostly grown for him, even though we like them too.

Uh oh.....oh dear!! :jester:

Plums too? That's great!!! :)

Would you be able to post a pic for us sometime, Kirby? :)

Your garden sounds wonderful. Post pics. I love that you're growing tomatoes for your dad. He must really appreciate that. Your season is way ahead of us here on the eastcoast.

I have a very special garden growing that DS gave me seeds for as a present on Mothers Day. They're french seeds that are the same ones that were grown in Louis XIV's garden. Lettuce, sorrel, chives, radishes and sage. He spent way too much on them even though they are beautifully packaged. He was thrilled to give them to me so that I could grow an historical garden. Very sweet.

We have tomatoes, cukes, lettuce, melons, squash, gourds, onions, peppers and carrots that the bunnies ate and now are replanted. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch more. All are up but not even close to looking like anything except the spinach::yes::We had spinach last night for dinner that was yummy.

My dog would love to tramp around in my Louis garden!

I don't have a digital camera but maybe I could get one of those discs made. I'll see what I can do.

If we don't get some rain, my garden is not going to last real long this year even with watering. The winds dry everything out so fast!

I wish I could send you some of our rain, Kirby. It's been a record setting month, for rainfall. :( The forecasters are suggesting that this is how it's going to be for the entire summer!!! I sure hope not!

Deb, that is so cool about your Louis XIV seeds! What an imaginative and special gift! ::yes:: :D

Congratulations on your squash! We have little tiny baby squash so far, about an inch to an inch and a half long. They are yellow. We also have small green tomatos that are just getting started.

tricia.
