We need a dinner or a lunch at the Magic Kingdom. We have never been to Tony's and is top on the list. We usually go to the Castle, but would like somthing different.

I noticed that this place has calamari, so this would be a plus for my 4 year old niece. Sounds weird but out of the four things she actually will eat, calamari is one of them.

Is this better or worst then Cthe Castle. We were also considering the Crystal Palace again, but we just don't like eating that much food. where we can't move after dinner.

Thanks

Honestly???? Tony's is probably one of the worst meals we ever had. The menu is incredibly limited. We tried it 2 years ago and vowed not to go back but we went again last year to give it a second try... big mistake and we certainly will not make that mistake again. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is quite lovely.

We actually liked the food at Tony's although I have heard many complain about it. It was 1.5 years ago that we ate there last though. I enjoyed the Chicken Parm, I don't remember what anyone ate. I think my kids got some type of pizza, but I am not really sure. We thought the atmosphere was nice also.

DITTO! I have to agree. This was by far our worst meal ever, not just at Disney.

We loved Tony's. Our meals were great 2 years ago. Don't remember what we had though. Mom wants to go back 2x this trip, and my 5yo DS can't wait for the bread with the tomato pesto stuff.

I went to Tony's last November and loved it!! The atmosphere is great--especially if you like "Lady and the Tramp." We thought the food was great and reasonably priced too. You are given about 4 choices for an appetizer, entree, and dessert. The spaghetti and meatballs were excellent and many of the other choices on the menu were great too. I would recommend it.

Another vote that Tony's is a belly bomber. But given that, we like to schedule lunch during the afternoon parade and ask for an outside table when we check in. We usually get an early reservation in case we have to wait for an outside table.

We LOVE Tony's!! We always eat there every trip.
DH always has the speghetti and meatballs,DD and DS have pizza, and I love their calzones, and their bread with dipping sauce.
The only complaint I've ever had is that the kid's pizza's USED to be Mickey shaped.I don't know why they changed that!!

OH! They have great chocolate cream brulee also:D

Mmmm chocolate creme brulee mmmmmmm

I'm glad you asked this question Mike - I've a PS for lunch here and I think I'm not going to be disappointed :)

I have never been there, but I have to admit, that I can't make a PS for a place that charges $20 for spaghetti & meatballs .

I guess that I just can't get past that fact.:o

At lunch the speghetti and meatballs is $13.95;)
As far as sit down lunch goes this is usually the cheapest of our trip. For me,DH,DDand DS it's only $50.00:D

If you are a lover of good Italian food stay far away from Tony's.
The meatballs were so bad I was tempted to give the chef my recipe.

DH and I don't care for Tonys. We've been twice (June 2000 and December 2001) and we won't be back. The food is okay, the atmosphere is nothing special, and it's way overpriced! There are much better restaurants in and around MK...and I can get much better Italian food here.

Yes but you are forgetting that the meatball is the size of a persian melon...;)

Yuckyyyy!!!!!

We ate at Tonys last Wednesday and really enjoyed it. My girls and I had Tortilini (ok so I cant spell it) with grilled chicken, dh had spaghetti with the largest meatball I've ever seen in my life! The portions were huge and the girls ages 21 and 16 were able to share. I give it a thumbs up.

My husband and I had lunch there in February.
We loved it!
We both had the specials for the day---I had lasagna and he had some tortolini with a white sauce and other stuff I can't remeber.
Our salads were fresh and delicious. The bread was great.
We've decided we will definately eat there again.
Enjoy!

We have eaten there several times for lunch (which is more reasonably priced) and really enjoyed it! Our servers have always been efficient and very good with our kiddies. We are never very adventurous with what we order -- basically pizza and salads -- so I don't know how good it would be for more complicated entrees. It is definitely not gourmet, but has a nice atmosphere and provides a nice break to park touring!

Happy planning,
Sarah

I definitely agree with capegirl: if you love GOOD Italian food, don't bother with this place. Take it from an Italian-American girl, this is mediocre at best. And $20 for spaghetti and meatballs is OUTRAGEOUS! I didn't think the ambience and decor were all that great, either. My DH was equally umimpressed, and DD (3 1/2 yrs. old) liked her spaghetti and meatballs, but she ALWAYS likes her pasta!

There are lots of great places to eat in WDW, both $ and $$$, but we certainly will not be going back to Tony's.
