Thinking of trying the yak and yeti restaurant this year. Do others enjoy the food at this restaurant? Looking for a good chicken and vege dish.

Deb.

The atmosphere is relaxing and fun in such a upbeat location. Food is delicious, I'm definitely a fan! :thumbsup2

One of my favourite meals at Disney. Its been a while but I remember the food as being a better version of PF Chang at a lower price. We have been twice, both as a walkup. I am a little sorry that we con't be going again on our trip in two weeks but my wife and I decided to try only TS restaurants we have never eaten at before this time, and I cannot wait for them.

If you watch the parade in Africa at 3:45, can you make it to Yak & Yeti for a 4:45 reservation?

Is all the seating upstairs or are there tables on the ground level also?

Yak and Yeti is one of the best at WDW! The interior is beautiful and the food has always been nothing short of amazing as well as the service.

We LOVED our meal when we went last year. We went for lunch. Our service was great, the atmosphere and decor is awesome. Walked around took lots of pictures too. Took my time going to the bathroom ;) LOL For lunch i had the steak and shrimp and my husband had a chicken dish. Both were excellent. Loved the skirt steak, and I am not a big steak eater. The rice and veggies tasted very fresh and hot. Dessert my husband did the sorbets, he liked the raspberry but didn't enjoy the other two. He just thought they were too strong in taste. I had a chocolate raspberry dish and it was AMAZING but very rich. We plan on going back again on our vacation next year.

We ate there last month and the Kobe burger with mushrooms was amazing!!!! I had fried rice and the lettuce wraps, but my DH gave me a bit of this burger and I cannot wait to go back and get it!!! The whole meal was yummy!!

Can I see the parade with a 4:15 ADR? It was the only ADR I could get on my date but I read the parade passes in front of Y&Y about 4pm and is only about 15 minutes long so it seemed perfect. Will this work?

It was a neat experience. I had the lo mien with chicken and shrimp and it was delicious. DH had the duck but said it was very dry. He ate about half my lo mein :rotfl2:

I guess I'm a dissenter. :(

We've eaten here a few times (since there are so few TS restaurants in AK) and have NEVER been impressed with any of the food. For the quality -- which we can get much better locally -- it is overpriced as well, IMO.

The decor/atmosphere are terrific, but given the food, we're not planning on going back. Would rather try some CS options.

I feel it's over-hyped. When my family and I ate there in February we weren't impressed. The upstairs area where we were seated was very cramped and hot (it must be unbearable during summer). The food was fair at best, slightly above Panda Express IMHO, and our server kept trying trying to pimp the cocktails. We won't be going back. Perhaps the QS area is better? I think we'll be doing the Tusker house again when we return next year.

We were there for an early lunch on September 10th. The food was good, but I feel it was overpriced. My oldest son got the Combo Lo Mein, he said it was good, but he's had better Lo Mein noodles and the chicken and shrimp was very abundant. A few of us got the Honey Chicken and although it was very good, I would opt next time to just get Yak & Yeti counter service. My Mom got the sweet n sour pork, she thought it was amazing.

I would never compare it to PF Chang's. If it was up to PF Chang quality I wouldn't have a problem with the price.

This was our very first visit to Y&Y. Next time we will do counter service instead ;)

Glad to know it is a cs too. I missed that. Lol

The food is descent not amazing. I didn't think it was that outrageously priced. The environment was peaceful. It was not overly crowded and cool, which made lunch a nice break. if that is what you are looking for it is a good choice.

Overpriced and - at best - mediocre. We wouldn't eat there again.

The shame is that it replaced a little stand that had the best potstickers at a great price.
