We're hoping to go last week in January or first or second week of February. I hear it's the rainy season. Does that mean torrential downpours for days at a time? Morning shower with chance of sun in the afternoon? Help!
In 2006 we had 2 full days of non stop rain. It was a hard cold rain and made the trip miserable to be honest. So this year we're watching the weather and only going if there is no rain in the forecast then.
I'm teasing, but if you think California was cold, you obviously grew up there.
Not that Seattle is that cold, but remember, I grew up in Canada AND I've lived through 4 Chicago winters.
hahahaha
Just kidding. My kids always see TV shows or videos with US kids praying for a snow day and want to know what a "snow day" is.
We've never had a day when our schools were closed -- not in my entire life did we ever miss a day of school due to weather. And trust me, although we've had a mild winter this year, we do get quite a bit of snow up here. It must be part of the American culture. We get Buffalo stations here, and they seem to get school closures on a weekly basis
Similar setup here. Kids are 6, 4, 3 and baby. Born and raised in Arizona, they barely know what rain is.
