Hows the weather in November?

I've only been to Disney in the summer months so this is a big change so I have no idea what the weather will be like. My mom and I are going like the third week, I still have no idea where to stay. We wanted the Grand Floridan but the package was almost 5 thousand and I was like... NO WAY. The swan package came out to a little over 3.

Are there any codes for the Swan now, anyway?

I've gone in November for each of my last four trips (every other year, for the most part) and the weather's been fantastic. Not to hot during the day, cool in the evenings (bring a sweatshirt... you'll probably need it). I go swimming every day at the resort, hit a water park... I've had the occasional rainy day (Disneyquest, here I come!),but for the most part the weather has really just been ideal. And that's coming from someone who confesses to easily being "too hot" or "too cold" like something out of Goldilocks (without the locks, golden or otherwise!).

You might do better to buy your passes separate and try for a good 'room only' rate. If you're staying for a week, an Annual Pass would be practical and might qualify you for a good AP discount --- if still available.

Swan and Dolphin were offering some very good room only rates from Labor Day through Christmas. If you have an Entertainment Club card, it's 50% off. AAA might also be 50% off -- not sure.
Good luck!

Thanks you guys! Actually. Now I've decided on the GF. I'm so indecisive.

I tell anyone going in the winter months (November through March) to be prepared for cold weather. When I went last year (right after Thanksgiving through the first week of December), I had some warm days, but also had some pretty chilly mornings & evenings. Bring a sweatshirt, pair of pants & gloves with you. What I tell people is better safe than sorry. I can't tell you how many mornings I saw people in t-shirts and shorts freezing, then running to the stores when the parks opened and spending a good $60 or more of sweats & gloves. :jester: :smooth:

We went the week of Thanksgiving last year and the weather was awesome. We wore shorts and t- shirts and light jackets to the parks in the morning, ditched the jackets before lunch, but needed them again after sundown. We also took blue jeans/light sweats and changed into them when the sun went down. We also had lightweight rain coats in our backpack, but only needed them once (except for Splash Mountain!!). Hope this helps!

Terk... I wouldnt include November and 1st week of Dec in the cold category. We go every year from Thanksgiving until the 5-7th of December, and while we have been through a few cold periods, for the most part, the weather is pretty warm.
The days are usually fine, until the sun sets, and then maybe we will need a sweatshirt. I think the average temps for December are 76 for a high.

We love the weather in November !! Just my .02

What do you think the weather is like there compared to the week of Christmas-New Years?
Just curious because we were there during that time- so I have something to compare it with from experience I mean (assuming ofcourse that the weather is the same as last year during that time?) and also in Jan.
During Christmas-New Year it was actually warm enough to wear shorts/short sleeves but just put jackets on in the early morning and remove them later.
In Jan on my solo trip- there was some COLD days.... but cold being subjective.... this coming from a Texan- to others it might not have been that cold- to me it was COLD. LOL

I'm going to be there last week of Oct and last week & a half of Nov with a few days of Dec also.... and I'm just curious how we should dress/what I should pack. For us Texans- will it be cool enough to wear pants/jeans? Or too warm during the day to do that? (keep in mind that to US- 80 or below is considered "cool"- below 70 is downright cold to us LOL)
Whatcha think?

We were there first week of Nov. last year. Early in the week, it was pretty cool - 50's as I recall. Then it gradually warmed up as the week went on, getting over 80 by Friday and Saturday. So as Terk-1 said, you need to be prepared.

My advice whenever you are traveling anywhere - check the 5 day forecast online the day before you leave. I always go to weather.com for that. Let's me know pretty much what to expect and how to pack.

BibbidyBobbidyBoo, we're from Houston and last Nov. we were there the week of Thanksgiving. Our daily wardrobe went something like this: AM: shorts, t-shirts, light jackets MIDDAY: lose the jacket PM: t-shirts, change the shorts for jeans, return of the jacket!! We were fine the whole time except one night when a cold front blew in lol!! It got pretty chilly and some light rain, so we just went shopping for sweatshirts!!:smooth:

The best advice! We always check there, before any trip, then pack accordingly.

Being from South Mississippi, I can relate to what the "Texan" had to say. We find it to be pretty chilly in the 70's!!:o I was there for the first time at Thanksgiving last year (usually go for two weeks in June), and I had a hard time getting my clothing right. We usually did okay with long pants and a light sleeve during the day, but the night of the MVMCP (Nov. 30), I thought I was going to freeze! There were people in the pool at the BC and we joked that they had to be from the north! The lifeguards had on windsuits, if that tells you anything. That said, this year I'm planning on packing light pants/windsuits, and taking layers, including one heavy set in case of extra cold. Don't forget cold accessories like a scarf, hat, gloves. For me they can make up a lot for lack of clothing.
