I'm thinking about surprising the family with a Christmas gift of a 4 night Wonder cruise the first week of January. Has anyone been then? How's the weather?? I've gotten quotes from DU. Also, why is the Magic 1/4-1/8 4 nighter cheaper than the Wonder 4 nighter during the same time??

I'm goin on the Magic Jan. 8th and have asked this question before. Everyone for the most part says the weather is great and only a few people weren't able to get in the water at CC due to it being cold. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the water won't be too cold. I figure the Magic is less than the Wonder because it's not doing it's usual thing. Since it will be coming off of that 10 day. Who knows? It'll be fun either way!

We were on the Magic Jan 3,2004. The weather was absolutely fantastic. Mid to high 80's and very low humidity everywhere we docked. Water at Castaway Cay was a little cooler than when we went in April. I have to say however, after going to Long Island beaches all of my life the water was alot warmer at Castaway Cay in Jan, than it normally is here in the summer on Long Island. I also remember getting a very good rate for the 7 day because it was right after New Years. Good Luck, what a great surprise for your family.

We sailed on the Magic in January 2002. Water temp at Castaway Cay was cold, but nothing that you couldn't adjust to after a few minutes.
