Hows' the weather in December

My family and I will be leaving Boston, MA on Dec 13th making our way to Universal Studios ! We will be there till the 19th of December. I'm wondering what to pack as far as clothes go ? Is it sweatshirt and jean weather or capris and T's ? My 2 kids are 5 and 7 . We were in Florida in August and practically MELTED, it was soooo hot !! Thanks in advance

December is the second coolest month, after January, but it is also the driest. My experience has been shorts in the day, and pants - maybe even with a sweatshirt - at night.

Last Dec. 19th was as cold as I can remember in Orlando.
Although we don't get up north much in the winter.
Thought Kraken was going to test my frosticles! All I had was shorts. I had to buy my daughter sweatpants.

I felt the same one day in Feb at Epcot and I don't even have frosticles!

we definetly can handle the cold ! I think I'll pack some jeans, sweatshirts and shorts. Hmmm can I safely assume we won't need bathing suits ?

I would pack the swimsuits because we have gone swimming on Christmas Day. It can range from 30-80 in Dec. It will probably be around 50 at night and 70 during the day.

And the pools are heated ...

The wife and I have gone swimming every trip we've taken in December/January. Last year we got lucky over the holidays, with highs near 80. Regardless, we will pack the trunks for our trip this year - and even go on the water rides. 'Course, we live in Canada, so 70 in December is a heat wave ...

You hit the weather on the head! It can range from 30-80 in a matter of 2 days too It can be 80 on a Monday afternoon and if a cold front is going thru, it can end up 30 on Tuesday night. We down here in SW FL stay a little warmer than Orlando...so I had to laugh when you said up north. I know you meant all the way up north. But even going from by us to Orlando can be a temp change
