How's the water slide at AKL?

I was wondering how the waterslide rated with some of your kids. We were going to go CSR with the dreammaker 5+2, but then found XOA and decided we could afford the deluxe treatment if we chose to forgo the UPHs. The kids are kind of disappointed because they thought the pool at CSR looked cooler. Any words of encouragement?

we visited it last august ...walked by to check out the pool.
Slide seemed "basic" and small to me....Nothin to reallly write home about.

The pool however.....is pretty big.

The pool area at AKL is very beautiful. The slide, while pretty straightforward, was fun enough to entertain my DD(7) and my niece (11) for HOURS every day we were there - along with about 50 other little kids of varying ages (and a few adults, I might add). A teenager might stick his nose up at it, but little children will FLIP. They just go down OVER AND OVER! It's awesome

We did a split stay last year at these two resorts. My ten year old asked if we could spend the whole time at CSR next time. She definitely enjoyed the slide there more and the surrey bikes! Could you do XOA package at CSR?
