How's the monorail situation now?

Are they still working on the Express monorail? If so, how are people getting from the parking area to MK? We have an early morning tour scheduled at the end of June and want to make sure we aren't stuck in the parking lot waiting to get a boat or monorail.

Adjusted hours for refurbishment - The Express beam (between the TTC and Magic Kingdom) will shut down on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11:30am and 6pm from 3/10/15 - Summer 2015. An exact end date is not known.

Hours of operation...

Magic Kingdom Express: 1 hour before park open to 1 hour after park close, not including Extra Magic Hours

Magic Kingdom Resorts: 6:30am until 1 hour after park close, not including Extra Magic Hours

EPCOT: 1 hour before park open until 1 hour after park close, not including Extra Magic Hours

Outside of these hours, alternate watercraft and bus transportation is available.

We went to MK Monday morning and the monorails were down (both lines) this was at 8:45/9:00 am. They told us to take a bus from the TTC or the boat. The line for the boat was sooooo long we had to wait for about 35 minutes to get on one.

Not there now, but we have been in WDW lots of times when MK monorail wasn't running. Buses from the TTC to MK were actually faster than the monorail for us.

Buses between the monorail resorts and Epcot are not so great. More than once- part of our group drove from Epcot and part of our group took the bus. Car beats bus by almost TWO hours! (leaving Epcot about 8:45pm!)

If you don't have a rental car, you might wish to add one!

Other times, the bus to MK/monorail resorts was also oddly slow. One time, we were At the MK bus depot, but the driver couldn't pull to a curb, and wouldn't (couldn't?) let us off. We just at there for a solid 15minutes! People were NOT happy.
