How's the gas situation so far?

I'm driving down I-77 Wednesday to Charlotte and on down Thursday morning through Columbia and down I-95 into Orlando. From what I've read, things have calmed down a bit. Has anyone made this drive this weekend and have any stories to share? Also, anyone living along these areas, I'd love to hear from you as well. AAA says as long as we stay along the highways that things are ok. Of course, this will be Wednesday and not the labor day weekend.
