given that in the past I have read mostly lukewarm reviews about the Sci-Fi dine inn I was wondering if things are still the same or have they improved at all .
I would love to try it just because its so unique and was thinking that if we stick to burgers and milkshakes it might be ok ?
Anyone been lately?:shamrock:

We were there in June and had burgers and shakes. Everything we had was pretty good. But honestly, even if it wasn't great, the atmosphere is fantastic. We've eaten at most of the WDW TS places and Sci-Fi and T-rex were our kids' favorites (they're 9, 6, 6, 3).

I havent been since 2003 but have ADR for next Wed and really looking fwd to it! I was thinking of either the burger or the shrimp pasta! We are going for lunch so I know DH will get the reuben, its one of the reasons I made the ADR, he hasnt been yet and he loves reubens and Sci Fi!

We pay OOP and the Sci-Fi is one of the few TS we visit. For me, it's all about the tofu. I hate shelling out ridiculous amounts of money for restaurant meals, but I'm willing to pay almost $20 for that delicious plate of tofu at the Sci-Fi.

:)

We went on our last visit Apr./10! We LOVED it! The atmosphere was fun! Our kids were 21,20,17 and 11 and they enjoyed it! We had shakes and burgers. The older kids had chicken sandwichs! the desserts were great! Only had one problem! I ordered the peanutbutter cake (which I read about on here and JUST COULD NOT WAIT) and the first bite I found a long dark hair!! I know it can happen anywhere but it grossed me out! I let them know and it was replaced BUT I did not want it!

I would go again! It was fun other then the hair!!!:rolleyes1

We ate there last September and had the ribs. They were yummy - super tender and super messy - just how you want ribs to be!

We were on our honeymoon, as was one other couple in our car, and our server brought us all commemorative cups filled with caramel corn. I thought that was a nice touch, which we appreciated.

We were there a few weeks ago. I had the shrimp pasta and it was fantastic. DH had the steak with red wine sauce and didn't like it. He didn't care for the sauce and the meat had more of a stringy pot roast texture rather than steak.:confused3

We haven't eaten there in years. This will be our kids first time there in November and i'm looking forward to it. I have been researching this and it seems that people enjoy lunch there better than dinner. I hear the burgers, ribs, and shakes are fantastic. But it's mostly about the ambience.

We have ADRs there as well - and it will be my third time dining there for dinner.

So, I'll let you know shortly!

My DH also got the tofu when we visited Sci-Fi last summer and he STILL talks about how good it was. I had the shrimp pasta and it was OK, but we were on the DP and we loved how we could get milkshakes for both our beverage AND dessert.

We ate there at the end of August and we liked it. We just had burgers but they were pretty good. We love the decor though, that really makes it great for us.

I avoided Sci Fi for years because of the mixed reviews. In December we went for the first time. The atmosphere was a blast!

DH had the burger and Oreo shake and both were very good. I had the ribs which were pretty good too. The onion rings as an appetizer were also good.

I am so glad we gave it a try! We are booked for this December as well.

We ate there in February and are going back in May. It is a pretty solid lunch choice IMO. My reuben and onion rings were great. DH said his turkey sandwich was a bit dry and flavorless but he prefers spicy sauces and mayos on his sandwiches so I think that it was just a poor choice on his part. But his peanut butter chocolate cake more than made up for his sandwich.

We ate there last month and I had the Italian chicken sandwich which I liked. DS also liked his burger. Service was good and of course the atmosphere is a hoot.

My only quibble (and it's very minor) is that we ALWAYS sit in the back seat of a car. I don't really mind but just once I'd like to try the front seat!

My family ate there last March and we all left satisfied :)

I do not remember what we got but we each had something different and we were each happy with our meals. I LOVED the milkshake!

Now I am curious. What is soo good about the Tofu????

We ate at Sci-Fi during our last trip in September. We thought the atmosphere was fun, but the food was no better than counter service. Needless to say Sci-Fi is not on our list this time around.

This might be a daft question, but we're wanting to eat here on our next trip.
What are the milkshakes like?
And do you get unlimited refills on those?
