As an American having been raised in places like Brasil etc., I'm very particular about the coffee I drink. I like a good "strong" coffee...so I ask.....how's the coffee on the boat? Should I bring some of my own just in case? Do they serve Expresso's & Capuccino's on the ship and if so is that extra? Thx.

I thought the coffee was great and I am very picky when it comes to coffee. I like it strong as well and really enjoyed it. There is an extra charge for Expresso and Cappucino.

The coffee is a strong "Columbian" instant, at least at the machines on Deck 9 coffee station (witnessed the staff refilling the machine) and Topsiders/Beach Blanket since it uses the same type of machine. I can't say for sure what's served in the resturants but it does taste the same. As a person who drinks "Starbucks" and "Sumatra", I have no problem with the coffee on the ship.

Expresso and Capuccino is extra cost, I don't remember what we were charged. It's not Starbucks but it's not bad.

If you do bring your own, it'll have to be instant.

We found the coffee and everything else that was served on the ship to be terrific. By the way, the coffee tasted especially wonderful every morning out on our verandah with our grandchildren while enjoying a bagel and cream cheese

Having spent five weeks in São Paulo and having enjoyed the coffee culture there, I think you'll be disappointed with the coffee onboard. Nothing like loving coffee in Brazil to spoil you for American coffee.
