Who has been to this character dinner? How is it? I'm thinking of booking this instead of the breakfast at the Castle (been there, done that--too much hassle) Are PS's hard to get? Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

We just did the GF dinner last week and thought it the best character buffet in WDW. The food was very good, unbelievably so for a buffet and even good if it were not. There was prime rib, strawberry soup, shrimp grits, and all kinds of things that were delicious! Too many good things! The character interaction was great too with them coming around a few times each. There was Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy, and Perla. The Fairy Godmother was waiting out in the lobby for pics. We are going to do this meal again in October and put it on our not to be missed list! OTOH, the breakfast at the castle was not nearly as good and I felt pretty bland. The service rushed, food yucky, and characters not too attentive. I would definitely go with Park Faire.:D

By far one of the best experiences we had with character meals during our Easter stay. The charater interaction was excellent, the food was plentiful and tasted wonderful. The characters, especially Suzy and Perla did a great job--even with my DS 11. We were able to get great seats. I didn't find the PS difficult to get, but if for some reason you have a problem, I'd suggest just showing up between 5 and 5:30--they were taking many walk ins during that time. Suzy, Perla, Price Charming and Cinderella make the rounds while the Fairy Godmother greets guests in the lobby and is available for autographs, and photos. I have attended CRT as well, but I agree, while enjoyable and special for the "princesses" in the family, it isn't worth the hassle once it has been done!

I second showing up early if you can not get a PS. We tried for weeks before our trip two weeks ago and were unable to get anything the showed up one night with 10 people at about 5:15pm and were seated right away. The food was pretty good but the night we were there the characters seemed a little rushed or maybe it was because we were in a corner and it was a little hard to fit in between the tables. My niece (she loves Cinderella) was thrilled however since this was a late planned trip and we were unable to get CRT as we had in previous years. You might also try for the PSB Breakfast in EPCOT, if you want princesses other than Cinderella, we had a nice experience there.

We're going in June, so I can't comment about the food or characters. However the PS was a snap. I 'd called originally trying to get the PSB at Epcot, but it was booked for my whole stay. The very lovely CM asked me where I would be staying (Polynesian) and then suggested the Gala Feast because it had Cinderella and would be easy to get to from the Poly. We even had our choice of times and I less than 45 days out.

Where is the GF located at? Any cheaper then the breakfast at the castle?

It's located off the main lobby of the Grand Floridian ... one quick monorail stop from the Magic Kingdom... in a restaurant called 1900 Park Fare.

Cindy's castle for breakfast is $19.99 for adults, 9.99 for kids.

The GF, for dinner, is $23.99 for adults, 10.99 for kids.

It's important to remember, though, that the GF character meal is a buffet, not pre-plated (though I believe the breakfast in the castle is still all-you-can-eat...)

We LOVE the character meals at 1900 Park Fare -- both breakfast and dinner. The food is THE BEST, and the character interaction always a joy.

Thanks everyone for your replies. They were very helpful. Looks like we'll add this to our PS list for our trip. Thanks again....
