Hows is Disney & Resorts this mornig after the storm?

Just seeing how things are today?

Parks are working to open. There still is wind and rain in the area. Our area is under a tornado warning.

I just spoke to a CM at the GF. I asked how she was and she said a little watter-logged, but otherwise okay.

Hats off to Disney for such a wonderful job in keeping all of us stuck here safe and entertained.

Even with the danger, they kept the kids entertained (yes, we were cooped up in our rooms from Friday noon to Monday morning).

I am at the Beach Club Villas now and there doesnt seem to be much damage to be seen other than small branches and leaves all about. That is easily cleaned up.

Praying Ivan bypasses Florida and then it will be smooth sailing for those of you scheduled to travel here shortly.

Disney kept all the guests up to date on information and had characters on the first floors of all the hotel buildings keeping the kids entertained. Cast members kept kids in our building busy with Disney Trivia, Belle was reading stories and Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming were greeting kids. In the afternoon, Goofy and Pluto stopped by to help the CMs pass out boxed lunches. That was a treat!

We are a bit stir crazy about now and anxious to get to the airport for our flight out tonight. My own bed is looking better and better!.

Look at the link that says MK and Epcot the day after Hurricane Frances

I posted pictures the other day of the preparations for Hurricane Frances in MK and MGM. It was amazing to see that all the things were gone that they used to secure sign, booths, lights, etc.

I went back today to take pictures to show how the parks survived the Hurricane.

All the rides were walk ons again. We didn't wait for any ride.

I think some Pixie dust was sprinkled on WDW.
