Hi all

Just wondering how the building work is looking next to the wedding pavillion?? Is it still in pretty early stages?

I get married there in October so even though it doesnt bother me as such i am still curious how it is coming along, it seems to have gone quiet on that front

Thanks

I was there for my planning session on June 1 and I took a photo. It's still ugly.

Are you getting married there also? Not to worry i still think the WP is the nicest place Disney offers so i wont let it put me off, roll on October!!

i was there on 6/4, so right after CityGirlLost, and we didn't hear any noise while we were in Francks, and they were working, we could see them. The walls aren't pretty, but really the worst of it is the view from the monorail into the construction site. My fiance didn't even really notice the walls until the planner pointed them out to him.

Our planner Jamie told us that by our wedding on 11/2, they should be working inside the building, so the cranes should be gone. I'm not counting on it though, because i don't want to be disappointed if the cranes are still there. And they did sound testing in the WP and have not heard any construction noise so far. I have to believe if brides were getting their ceremonies interrupted by construction noise, we'd be hearing about it on the boards. We didn't hear a thing while we were in Franck's on Monday.

Also with the stained glass windows, you can't really see the construction once you're inside the WP.

That would be ideal if they were working inside by then but like you say you dont want to get your hopes up

I am a little dissapointed by the work but honestly i still count myself really lucky to be getting married there, if your partner didnt even notice the walls then perhaps my guests wont either :-) x

Yes, we're at the Wedding Pavilion on November 1, so I'm hoping the cranes are gone, as they're the worst part, IMHO.

I have four small children (2 bio, 2 step) so if there's going to be noise during our ceremony, it will probably be from the kids, not the construction!

I got married there in May, although the construction is obvious, I have to say that on the day I didn't notice it one bit. There was so much going on and I was just so happy to finaly be living my dream that I didn't give it a second thought.
I had been so worried about it in the planning stages but it didn't spoil my day at all. I haven't seen all my professional photos yet but they did a wonderful job of hiding the cranes etc by taking pics from different angles. Hope this helps.

My planning session was June 22nd. Looks like the walls of the building are finally visible over the walls they put up to block the view of the constructions:

It's actually not that bad. You really don't notice the construction until your actually exiting FROM the WP. And even then it's just the two cranes that are visible and off to the side where your not really doing any photo ops.

The thing that I would be really worried about is inside the WP the window that looks out to Magic Kingdom Castle has a big ugly crane right next to it. They said the crane will never block the castle but it will still be up in November. It's far enough away from the castle at the moment where it shouldn't show up in photos.

It's hard to see since it's just my phone camera but you can kinda see the crane next to the castle in the window.

Thanks for the pics guys, really helpful.
The crane outside the window is NOT a good look, perhaps our photographers can airbrush it out!?! Lol :rotfl: (have to laugh otherwise i might cry!!)

Still have another 3 months to go yet so i suppose lots can change in that time x

That crane has been there since last September pretty much on and off.
