Hi everyone! I am so excited to find this forum!

I have been saving money and dreaming of taking my family on a WDW vacation for 4.5 years - ever snce the birth of my twins. The timw has finally come to begin planning and I am extremly excited.

We have 3 DS's who will be 10, 5, & 5 when we take our trip on 11/28-12/04/09. All 3 have November birthday's (11/9, and 11/26), so this will be a BIG surprise. We plan on letting them open a gift on twin DS's birthday with the news inside.

Anyway, thanks for all of the tips and info that has been posted - it is already a HUGE help!

Just one quick question - how will crowd levels be on our travel dates (11/28/09-12/4/09)? I have been reading about touring plans, and while we will try to stick to a plan if possible, I don't want that to demmisinsh the majic of WDW for my boys. Just hoping to go at a leisurly pace, and enjoy the parks, and rides.

Thanks again!

:welcome: You will love going to the world during that time of year. We have gone that exact same week for the last 8 years. The Monday after Thanksgiving, the crowds are great. Use fast passes to make the most of your time.

We also love this time of year to visit because all of the Christmas decorations are up. DO NOT miss the Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios!!!!

Have a wonderful trip!! :cool1:

:welcome:

:wave:Welcome Aboard!!! I can see that the excitement is building!! :yay: Your 3 DDs will be sooo surprised!! The best trips we took were the ones we surprised the kids with! ;) Nothing like that look on their face when they find out we are going to Mickey's house,It's a memory that will last a life time!!:)
You will be there on the tail end of the Thanksgiving day holiday. It could be crowded for a day or two but after that it should quiet down!! It's also a great time to go because the Christmas:santa: decorations will be up and the World looks awesome!! :thumbsup2 My favorite time of the year at WDW!! We have gone at this time every for the past 9 yrs,and even spent 2 Christmas's:santa: at there!. Don't miss the Osborne Family Lights at DHS,the story telling of each countries Christmas traditions at EPCOT. The castle lighting ceremony at the MK!!:worship: Wait till you see the castle all lit up!! Spectacular!:woohoo:
If you have any questions:confused: don't hesitate to ask!! Some one here always has the answer!! :thumbsup2
Happy posting!:surfweb:

Welcome from an OKIE! I think that is a wonderful time to go. Crowds should be smaller since it is too early for the Christmas bunch to be there yet but the decorations will already be up. Weather will be good, might even be able to get in some swimming since the pools are heated. Should be perfect. Make time to go see some of the decorations at different resorts if you can, especially the Grand Floridian and the Wilderness Lodge. The kids will love eating at Whispering Canyon. (WL); the antics of CM there are not to be missed by the kids!
Have a great time. The boards are a wonderful place to find info and make new friends. :)

Welcome. I am a fellow Texan. We surprised our DS in 2005, he was 5 at the time and he was so excited. WARNING-it gets addictive. We have been back every year since:rotfl:

Welcome from a fellow Texan! How exciting to be at WDW when it is decorated for the holidays!!!

we always go that week, its fabulous!! The crowds are low, but dont let that make u think its not crowded, there are PLENTY of ppl there, its just not nutz like other weeks, we love that week and its lovely, enjoy!:3dglasses

We always pack one backpack with long pants and heavy sweathsirts and lock it in alocker in the am and take it out around dinnertime, its always been great!

How exciting. I too am from Texas with three DS. The only difference is the twins are 9 and the other 7. Our trip (in June) was the twin's birthday present (items layered in a suitcase) but DS 7 is the one that figured it out and shouted WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!! It was too funny. Be sure and video it, you never know the reaction.

Welcome to the DISboards! We are also planning our first trip to Disney as well. You will learn alot from everyone on here, this board is loaded with TONS of useful information. Have fun planning your 1st trip!
