I had the offer that was double for select purchase categories (dining, gas, groceries, utilities, insurance, wireless).
I got bonus rewards posted for the March 15-31 spending, and then for the April 1 - 30 spending, so far. Neither amount posted comes even close to what it should be. I called Disney Visa and asked for an explanation of the promotion, since I felt I had misunderstood. She explained it exactly as I understood. I then told her that very little of my qualified charges had been given the eligible bonus rewards. I told her that I had received another promotion offer, but it wasn't looking at all worthwhile, based on the results of the just ended promotion. I told her that I was looking at calendar month spending, not statement month (which was correct) - and told her that I hadn't even gotten to disputing all the "other" labeled transactions, I couldn't even reconcile the appropriately labeled stuff!
Then she was nice enough to go over the statements with me. It wasn't long before she was saying, "Hmmm.... I wonder why all these weren't credited...." She put me on hold a few times, and came back with stuff like, "Is Friendly's Restaurant a restaurant?" After a few minutes of this she apologized for my inconvenience, and said that she was submitting my account to be reviewed, as she could not make any sense of it. I should be hearing something in 7 to 10 days.
Now I can't decide whether to bother with the new promo, or just use a card that I know I will get what I'm supposed to - even if it's not Disney Rewards. How very disappointing!
