Okay, I am obviously not a fan and do not listen or watch the show. I have caught and occasional minute or two, but have never been interested enough to continue viewing. But, is there really a character called "Wendy the Retard"? If so, that is so vulgar and repulsive that I certainly don't anticipate ever listing to a full show. Again, if someone else wants to listen, I don't care. Until they broadcast him on every channel at every hour, then I have many other choices and can choose something that doesn't repulse me.

From reading this thread, I don't think so. So again, to me, he is being tasteless and juvenile by presenting his material in that manner.

I can only speak for my feelings and am in no way trying to tell someone who enjoys the show that they shouldn't watch, listen or enjoy his show - only that I won't be doing it. I'm sure others wouldn't dream of watching or listening to some of the things that I enjoy. That's what makes the world the great place that it is.

Ohhhh, I can't stand Howard Stern. I don't think he is funny, charming, or entertaining at all. It is the same old, same old thing with every. single. guest. Dialogue is the same, the only thing that ever changes is the owner of the ****s he is trying to get a look at from night to night.

That said, I just don't turn on his show. I avoid it. I don't want others to be unable to watch him just because *I* don't enjoy him. At the time he comes on where I live, kids should already be in bed anyway.

Don't ask TV to parent your kids. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Block it, if you need to. But don't try to control what others watch.

I don't follow your logic. You're making an assumption about his audience that would actually tend to indicate that you're not appreciating the full value of what he presents. In order to draw that kind of implication you're trying to draw, Stern would have to be presenting his stuff to no audience.

I think there is naturally going to be a correlation. If someone presents themselves in an offensive manner, it's only natural to me to assume they are offensive as well. It may not be the right way to think, but I think it's the natural way that a lot of people think. We are feeling people. I make most choices in life with regards to how I feel about it, not by rationalizing it. I think a lot of people do as well, but I may be wrong - it wouldn't be the first time and I'm not counting on it being the last.

If I walked onto an elevator and the only other person on it was Howard Stern, I would be more disgusted by the company than elated - even if no words were uttered. I won't lie. I am a judgemental person. If you act a certain way, I am going to assume that is how you want to portray yourself.

I passionately hate Howard Stern. I think he is a slimey disgusting revolting pig. (CLear enough?) However, I have this lovely tool in my home called a Remote Control. I simply use it and do not watch Howard Stern.

I think people need to lighten up. Howard is laugh out loud Funny! I am pretty conservative about a lot of things, but I started listening to him years ago while driving to work. I agree with this. I loved his movie and I thought his Letterman interview was great. He really seems stoked about being on Sirius. I wish him well, even though I probably won't listen to him.

I am not trying to recruit you. And I was just saying that the way he portrays himself on his show is a character so to say IN MY OPINION, and not necessarily indicative of him as a person, IN MY OPINION

And "Wendy the Retard" is not a charcter she is a real person with downs syndrom. Her mom takes her on the show. She lives in the next town over from me. She has a huge crush on Howard. Actually she started off calling into an Orlando radio talk show that was on the same station that Howard was carried on, and it went from there. Some of the "whack pack" stuff gets to me, but Beetlejuice ALWAYS cracks me up, as does High-Pitch Eric.

I don't like Howard Stern. My dh does. I have seen his show some things are funny. But he's "not my cup of tea". His show does come on late so I don't think any kids should be up that late so they wouldn't be able to be exposed to his show unintentionally because of the fact the program is on a channel next to a family channel. If you don't like him don't watch him or listen to him. There's a great invention called an On/Off switch on every tv and radio and also a great switch that changes the channel use them and get over it.
