Has anybody had any experience with this hotel? We will be getting in late from Tampa airport and will not get to WDW until about 1 AM. We want an inexpensive place to crash for one night. We will be up early the next day for my niece's softball game and then we will be checking into Saratoga Springs for hte rest of our three day trip. It is only $39/night and I know you get what you pay for. My biggest concern is cleanliness and safety for 6-7 hours.
Any other suggestions? TIA!!!

the last report I saw was pretty bad.

first of all ask to check the room before you accept it.

their rooms - it was dirty, the door did not lock properly, and it was near the parking lot so noise was a big problem.

alot depends upon the room

as you can see from the mixed reviews

I would probably chance it. Especially if the party is just adults.

We stayed here for 5 nights last week- it was a super budget trip for us, and we are used to the Values on property. That being said, we thought the HoJo was okay. Housekeeping did a good job, and the room was large for a standard motel room. We had a kitchenette in the room, which was nice. The area wasn't the very nicest, but I didn't feel unsafe. The commute to WDW was very short and easy. The hotel doesn't have much in the way of amenities, but for a 1 night stay, you'll be fine. We used the pool one afternoon, and it was nothing special, but it was fine for our needs.

I'd say that you should be fine at HoJo- especially for just one night. I would stay there again, if we needed to do another cheapie trip.

The place I wouldn't stay at again was the Days Inn Maingate East- what a dump! We stayed there for 2 nights before moving over to HoJo- the door lock never worked properly, the room was dirty, and the service was apathetic. Even though we were only about 1/2 mile farther down 192E from the Howard Johnson, I felt not too safe at the Days Inn.

Thanks for the responses! For 6 or 7 hours we will be there, I think we will give it a try. It is good to know that some rooms are in better shape than others so I will make sure ours is accceptable and if not, ask for another room. It must be a busy weekend because I could not get a Marriott on points by the Tampa airport and few were available in the WDW area. I opted not to waste my points on one night for the 6 or 7 hours we will be at the hotel before checking out.
Thanks, Again!
