How would you split your time between US & IOA?

We have some time in the middle of our WDW trip to go to US/IOA. It will be around 17 hours over 2 or 3 days. How should we split the time between parks? 50/50 at 8.5 hrs each or does one park take longer to cover than the other?

It really depends on what your interests are. IMO, US takes a bit longer than IOA because there are so many shows, which means planning your schedule around show times. However, many people are not that interested in shows, and would rather allow time for multiple rides on the coasters, therefore spending longer at IOA. I'm a "see it all" person, but it just depends on what's most important to you.

I'll go along with that. It really depends on what you want to do.

everyone has different opinions on what to see and which park to do first.

take a look at the UO website and go over the parks interactive map.
study it and see what appeals to you.

i have to agree on the shows.
i absolutely love the horror make up show.
i see it repeated times each visit.

a lot of it is ad lib depending on the audience member that is used in the skit.

and over at ioa, i can sit and watch the mystic fountain for an hour....
