Well, i'm planning my b-day trip for next year for my 40th. Last year I was only able to stay 3 nights/4 days..... so this time i'm expanding my trip for 6 nights/7 days, and thats a big treat for me!

So on my birthday day, i'm planning on doing either the swim with dolfins in the morning, or the nascar ride along, probably going with the dolfin swim, then go to MK and have dinner in the castle and end my night with spectromagic and wishes!

Other than that, i will plan like my past trips... my fav's to eat at are Le Cellier, & Mama Melrose... i will also try some i've never been to like Kona and Coral Reef. Also I will be able to enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival since i will be there in May.

But most of all... i'm going to slow down and enjoy the parks and to see all the things you don't see when you do commando touring!

I'm headed off to WDW next week to celebrate my birthday. On my actual birthday, we are doing the Magic Behind our Steam Trains tour early in the morning. I plan to throw dieting caution to the wind and have one of the "big as your head" cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery. Then we will head over to the Haunted Mansion to check out the updates. I chose Narcoossee's for dinner and expect to have a magical evening with lobster, Wishes, and my sweetheart by my side!

Next year will be my 60th birthday. :scared1: We have booked a Land/Sea Disney Cruise. I am not going down without a fight! :rotfl2:

Glad I found this thread. I actually posted a similar question on the community boards and have had no response. I posted on the weddings board and did receive one response. I have never been married and for my
40th in 2 years I want a party. I have some friends and their kids who would probably go too. I would like to have dessert party as dessert is my favorite part of the meal. If not maybe a character breakfast with a cake. A frieworks cruise at night (maybe with cheese and wine or soemthing like that). Not sure where I want to go for a nice meal so I am enjoying hearing others ideas. Love the idea of the dolphin swin. We have been talking if we don't go next year maybe for my birthday we could stay at the Poly or GF. I am torn as I really love POR and being able to stay a few steps away from the pool. Maybe a split stay with a night or two in one of the tower rooms at the Contemporary with a view of the castle. I wonder about having in room dining. Have any of you done that?

What would I buy? Good questions that I hadn't thought of.

Tour-In August we did the Segway at FW and loved it. I think I would be happy with any of them. My friend did one at the Animal Kindom and loved it.

Hope you all enjoy your birthday and I would love to hear more ideas.

I am going down this Nov/Dec and will be there for my birthday as well as DBF birthday.

For my birthday we are going to California Grill for dinner, and hopefully since it is a Christmas Party night will able to see Wishes while we are there. After that we are going to DTD to see LaNouba, which is one of my favorite things to do.

For his birthday we are going to the parks; and going to LeCellier for dinner, as that is also one of our favorites and then going to Candelight Processional as that is one of his favorites as well.

And of course we are getting Birthday pins!!!!

My mom and I went for my birthday last year and we are going again this year. My birthday is at the end of October....we are going from 10/28 - 11/2 and staying at POFQ. On my actual birthday, I would like to surprise my mom and take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. We are going to Narcoosees for dinner. I really wanted to go to Coral Reef on my actual birthday, but the latest dinner ressie they had available was at 3:40 :( We are going to go to MNSSHP on Halloween - we're are really, really looking forward to it!!! Since we are going for Halloween, my purchases will mainly be Halloween sorta things...and I'm definitely picking up MNSSHP souveniers.

We admit we are very big Disney Dorks - I even said something today about going next year and my mom said "Three years in a row?" I said "YES!" and she said "Ok!" My dad hasn't gone with us yet (this October will be our third trip), but I think that we are wearing him down. I think he's seen us having so much fun that I think he secretly wants to join us.
