How would you react?

That is SO freaking gross :crazy2: I have a super weak stomach so like other posters have said, I most likely would have thrown up right back! I cannot believe that NO ONE in their party said anything to you. Not a word. That's not only rude but more than a little immature. Even if he or his family members were embarassed they STILL should have said something to you. An apology, an explanation, something. Yikes. I would have been pretty peeved too

OMG!! :crazy2:
I can't believe they never said a word! I would have made the biggest scene...more than likely by throwing up on the kid (I have an extremely weak stomach, cannot handle puking of any sort or the smell--I'm gagging just thinking about it!)
That is just so wrong....what was wrong with these people?
Phone them, "Hi, this is ______, I'm the one your kid puked all over at church and you totally ignored the situation. I have a few things that need to be cleaned so I'll send you the bill!"

That's really weird that the parents and kid didn't try to help you out or something. Maybe the "kid" pukes all the time or had a really rough Saturday night. I would have at least gotten out of the row and left immediately, but what else can you do in Church? You're supposed to be forgiving, and it seems like you acted in a very Church-like manner.

:scared1: OMG - bless your heart, I cannot imagine :guilty: !!

I've had this accidently happen by my little grands, but, thankfully never a stranger!! Even worse, he not apologizing or offering to help you clean up is even more discusting! I cannot begin to imagine how I would have reacted - probably 'WTH' and jumped up and left!! I definitley would have headed home for a shower. In your purse :sad2: !?!? Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery ((hugs))

Disgusting.

A simple accident would be one thing.

And until you've had uncontrollable vomit--you'll never know that it is possible to be totally accidental. Heck--I started choking on water and accidently spewed it on someone walking by--sometimes you can't control the gag reflex or what happens when it is triggered. But I was MORTIFIED and very apologetic. It was a funny group--they were trying to figure out where the rain came from.

But to pretend it didn't happen...EWWWW...it's a bio-hazard for pete's sake! That was completely rude for them to behave that way. YUCK!

I would have puked right back on them too. I can't believe no one said anything to you.

I would've turned around right then & there & let the parents or the kid HAVE IT!!!
I am NOT NICE when it comes to puke!!

WOW! I just can't understand this. First of all that they weren't falling all over themselves apologizing and cleaning you up, :sad2: and second that you just sat there!
YUK with puke all over you? Please say it aint so!!!!

Maybe they thought by your reaction that it was no big deal? :confused3 Maybe if you HAD jumped up and ran out to clean yourself up, they would have responded appropriately?
Did the parents see him puke on you? Maybe they didn't notice? I know it would be hard NOT to notice, but maybe they were deep in prayer or something and didn't notice it.

I'm just trying to play out all these scenarios in my head because I just can't grasp the fact that everyone just SAT THERE!!!!!
You poor, poor thing! I would at least send them the cleaning bill and let them know how inappropriate it was to not offer to help clean up. IMHO, a 20 year old is old enough to know better. Maybe his mother figured it was his responsibility. :confused3

Maybe the kid was hungover!
I hope so!!! I am ashamed to say that is what I was sitting there thinking right after it happened.

I would have flipped out, went outside and vomited myself because I can't stand to smell, touch, look at puke or hear someone doing it. (Hence why I'm not a nurse or a mother!) I'd absolutely panic, then get angry and upset. How could they just go on singing, etc??? Did the priest see what was going on? -not that I expect him to do anything about it.

Sleepymom was correct in doing what she did. But a 4 yr old is one thing. A teen/adult should have the sense to know, "Hey, I don't feel so well, I'd better leave the room now."
