How would you rate your towns sporting facilities?

I’ll say good, brand new turfed football/baseball field, brand new outdoor running track, several turfed fields for soccer/baseball/lacrosse/softball/football, 3 little league fields, an outdoor roller rink that is now turfed for baby soccer, tennis courts at 2 field, pickle ball courts, bocce courts, my town is only 3 miles from end to end. No pools or indoor tracks though. considering the population density I think we have good options. All of the fields have light up scoreboards.

I'll give it a pretty darn good. I live in an unincorporated area, so we have county facilities, no "town" at all.

Actually, if you like jogging, biking and bocce, it's fantastic. We have a very mature hiker/biker trail system. And a bocce court with a nice shelter over top.

There are baseball, football, and soccer fields. And a community center with a gym. A community park with a playground and basketballs courts. It's all older, but usable.

Regionally, in the four surrounding towns, tons of hiker/biker trails, community pools, sports fields. I guess we're lucky.

Our NBA team is on their third arena in the 37 years since they moved here. Current arena is 6 years old. No first hand knowledge, never been. I hear second hand the angle of the seating is too steep and people keep falling. And parking is impossible.
Our soccer stadium is basically a temporary set up with seating for 11,500 and they have a site for a new one, and they HAD the money together to build a new MLS approved stadium, but MLS keeps upping the fee to join the league and the Billionaires keep backing out because the fees make no sense
Our Minor League Baseball Stadium is nice and it's 22 years old. They have overbuild the area around it in that time.

Yes, it was stupid to put the Arena downtown. I know they wanted to build up downtown but I don't think they gave an ounce of thought to the parking. In addition to what TVguy said, we have many kid fields in all suburbs for soccer, little league, we have walking trails down the river, we have white water rafting, kayaking, etc.

Gwinnett has a pretty good AAA baseball stadium and over 10,000 acres managed by the parks and recreation department.

There are competitive pools, tracks, tennis, soccer, football, etc located all around the county. They are used by all ages of kids and adult sports.

I would give it a 10/10.

We have 1 park that is cared for by a local non profit. It is nice, but the druggies keep trying to take over.

Cobb county Georgia. 10/10. Plenty of green space, parks, Truist stadium for the braves, miles and miles of walking and biking on the silver comet trail. Kennesaw national park for hiking. Plenty of sporting and outdoor spaces.

10/10 here. We have tons of amazing parks (total of 277) with beautifully maintained baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, and skate parks. We have over 400 miles of bike trails. Almost every neighborhood has Jr Olympic sized pools for swimming laps.

We have the ice facility where the the Anaheim Ducks practice. We have the aquatics center that is the home for USA Water Polo team. We are about to have a Major League Cricket stadium.

People are outside all the time and it's a huge reason why we live here. So much green space and outdoor activities.

Not too bad for a small town. We have multiple Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Tennis fields/courts; as well as, Frisbee Golf, and a public pool with a splash pad. The last couple years, the community has been fund-raising for a skate park and have events when they block off a street and set up portable ramps, etc for skaters. We have one large and one small park. My personal favorite are the ever-growing hike/bike paths. I enjoy being able to walk side by side with another person and I'm glad that little kids can walk/run/bike without the risks of traffic.
