I've been thinking about how to pack for our Nov trip since we won't know how the weather will be. Could be warm... could be cold.
I have been in late nov before but that was 10 years ago.
We will be going nov 15-22 . I know we have to pack a variety of clothes but what have you done in the past?

I suggest you take some pants, some shorts, a sweatshirt or light jacket and be prepared to do some laundry in case it is very hot and all you wear is shorts...or vice versa. In November when we went it was nice and warm and we only wore the shorts....same in December for three years we never wore jeans, the last time we went in December it was record cold and all we wore were jeans and sweaters.

I'll be there the week before and I've been wondering the same thing! I put some of the summer things that stayed nice in a duffle bag to get started. From what my friends who've been there at that time say is mostly Capris and shorts for the Husbands since their always warmer. Jackets or sweatshirt for the evening because it got cooler. I'm trying to put a mix of things without over packing! :teeth: I'm also going to check the weather before we go to modify what I packed if I need to. I hope I get it right. :D

We'll be there that same week. For my family, I'm packing:

t-shirts
shorts
jeans
sweatshirts
lightweight jackets

I usually bring more summer type clothes than fall clothes. During the day when the sun is out it's usually pretty warm still. I've been the past 2 years in Nov. and it has been 80-90 degrees during the day. Then in the 70s at night. So I'll bring 1-2 pairs of jeans or pants and 1 sweatshirt just in case. But for the most part shorts and t-shirts.

When we fly to Orlando during the fall/winter months and even some early spring months...we fly in our jeans, turtlenecks, sweatshirt and a windbreaker!! It can get chilly on the plane and if it gets too warm, I just start peeling off layers. Once we get to WDW, we can wear our shorts/tees since it's usually warm enough. It can get cold at night, so out come the 'flying' clothes. This way, I don't take up a lot of room in our bags with the heavier stuff.

this is a great thread! I will be watching the replies as well as checking the weather the week before we leave.
We arrive on Nov. 6 and leave on Nov. 14
I was planning on wearing a sweater and jeans down there since we are leaving from Chicago and packing a pair of jeans and / or capris and 1 sweatshirt each for the kids and hubby.
I figured that we would probably buy a sweatshirt down there anyway and we have a washer and dryer in our villa......lets all pray for the usual 80-90 degrees so we can all swim and go to the water parks.....yippeeeee!!!!!:Pinkbounc :sunny:

We'll be there Nov 3-8. Now that summer is winding down here in NJ, I'm taking the shorts and matching tops out of the closet and packing them in my suitcase instead of the storage bins. It's only a 6 day trip and I don't want to over pack, but I think I'll take the advice on this thread and throw in some warmer clothes too. And of course I'll be wearing long pants and a cardigan on the plane too. Not sure how we'll dress the kids tho....

We've been there during Veteran's Day week the last couple years & will be there again this year.

We live in Buffalo so.................DD's & I usually wear capris on the plane & a zipper up sweatshirt which is our "jacket" during our stay. It's cold when we leave but great when we arrive in Orlando - we are ready to go when we get off the plane. We take one pair of jeans, 4 or 5 pairs of shorts & shirts to match. We usually buy at least one sweatshirt each for a souvenir while there.

We stay in a 2BR at OKW so I wash the capris & jackets for the trip home, along with any other laundry that needs to be done.

Myself and my DH will be staying in ASMo from 3/11/04 - 17/11/04, for 2 weeks. I plan on packing enough stuff for 1 week and using the laundry in resort. I was planning on mostly t shirts & shorts. My thinking is that being from Ireland, we are not used to the heat and these would be sufficient. However, we plan to go out walking at night round DT Disney etc. Will we be warm enough in shorts, or more importantly would we be underdressed to go into a restaurant in the parks in the evening without long trousers etc.

I have never been in November before - have only been once before and that was beginning of October. To say we were warm was an understatement!

Any advice would be helpful.

I always check weather sites, the day before we go away, then pack accordingly.

ITA. We do the same thing. We check the 7-day forecast a day or two before we leave and pack accordingly. Though even if the forecast calls for warm weather, we always bring one sweatshirt or mid-weight jacket because it can get cool quickly at nite.

Well, since we're coming from New Jersey, we are wearing jeans and a jacket down, so we don't have to pack them! LOL
