How would you book? Package or separate?

You need to click the "activities" tab at the top. Then click Anaheim and put in your vacation dates. If you tell it all activities, the Disneyland tickets should come up second.

I found the tickets on LMT and Wow, are those prices for real? They are cheaper than anything I've found. How is LMT? What are people's experience buying DL tickets from them? How do you receive the tickets?

Also, the LMT site says they are "Park Hopper" passes, but when I click on the detail, there is one sentence that says "1 -day admission to either Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park". This makes it sound like they are the "One-park-per-day" tickets...not a park hopper ticket.

Just make sure you are checking your actual dates. When I added mine to the cart they went up quite a bit since they were for after Oct. 1.

Costco? Do you have to have a membership to shop there? Is this something that can be purchased online? I'm in Louisiana and we don't have any here.

Yes a membership and yes online.

Membership costs money but they have a money back guarentee if you aren't satisfied. So Some people pay the membership book there trip and then ask for the membership money back.

Just look up "cosco travel" or "cosco travel disneyland" and you should find the site easily. They also do travel to WDW if you go to the east coast parks now and then.

We've done it both ways. There are things I like about packages, but in general I much prefer to do it on my own. The reason is the lack of flexibility with changes when you have a package. For instance, I reserved a room for Oct for DLH. I kept watching for the special rates to come out, and when they did I began pricing around. Costco and AAA had the same rate as Disney but Costco included a character meal and $20 gift card. I decided that it was silly to pay the same amount and not get those things thrown in (there are 5 of us) so I booked through Costco. Well, they did not have DLH available at the time so I changed us over to GCH. My kids really, really wanted to stay at DLH so I called the other day to see if they had any availability yet at DLH and they did. I was then informed that the change had been made for me and that I had to pay a $50 change fee, since it was one day past the allowed change date. I was a little miffed since I hadn't told them I definitely wanted to do it--I was just asking if it could be done and how much it would cost. I had to pay the whole package price in full 30 days prior to departure. If I wanted to cancel my trip, now, I would have to pay a $200 fee and after a certain amount of time it is non-refundable. For that reason I really dislike packages.
