How would war with Iraq affect your WDW DVC plans this year?

We are planning to go to HHI at the end of March, but that may change if my brother-in -law gets called to active duty before then. He has been activated several times since 9/11 so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

In light of the poll, I read a great piece the showed the impact of weapons we fear as being more one of panic than the actual potential for harm. I though this might help relieve peoples anxiety about travel to a DVC resort if it were due to fear from terrorist acts. It is very long, you may not want to read it due to the length.

Hi Everyone,

I am on 48hours notice to go, and will be gone by the weekend to the Gulf. I have been before during 9/11 and will be away for 6 months and 1 day. We have reservations at VWL on 7/20 and the Cruise line but what will I do??????

I could be dead !, Because I am British and do not travel on "orders" like our brothers in arms from the US military. DVC are querying cancelations and holding and other options. We don't know what to do but any advice would be of help.

Do you know what every terrorist wants to see, It is the parks empty!!!! Do your patriotic duty and go on vacation or give in to the terrorists.

If it were my decision alone I'd be there as long as the doors to WDW were open. However DH has a different opinion. He's extreemly protective of his family (which is a good thing ) and he would most likely try and get me to cancel.

This happened to us after 9/11 and not only was I very upset with him but it saddened me tremendously that I couldn't make my planned trip. Plus I had booked the trip with borrowed points!!! So they couldn't go back into our account!! But I was able to use 90% of them before they expired.
