How would I update tickets for different dates?

So, our plan is to go to Disney at spring break. We have our tickets/fastpasses/reservations already. If we decide not to go now and wait until summer, how do we update(pay the difference) to make our tickets work for the summer? Can I still make fastpasses on the tickets that I have and pay the difference when we get there or will I have to update them before it will let me make new fastpasses?

Look up your tickets in your MyDisneyExperience account and see if you can change the date.
If you can't, call Disney and have the CM change them.
Once changed, when your FP booking date comes up again, you can make new FP reservations.

Thank you! Still, at this moment, planning to go on spring break but just wanted to get my ducks in a row. We keep waffling back and forth. Thank goodness we are flying southwest so we can bank that if we cancel.

Does anyone know if this holds true for tickets bought from Undercover Tourist? If I pay the extra to change to the new dates, would it still work? I can see the change ticket link there, but I'm irrationally afraid of clicking too far through the process and accidentally messing up the ticket. We have a trip scheduled in May and still hope we can go. However, I'm trying to figure out what our options are.

We are in the same boat and bought our tickets from UT. I would imagine that summer tickets are slightly less than Spring Break but not exactly sure. My plan is to go as long as Disney is open and hopefully given we have a few weeks yet we are okay.

I'm in a similar situation. We had planned to go April 1 - 5. I made resort reservations through Undercover Tourist and bought e-ticket 4-Park/4-Day tickets through UT and linked them to MDE. We have decided that we would like to cancel the trip and possibly go later in the year. It's looking like I will need UT to cancel our resort reservation and for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the dates on MDE for our park tickets. It looks like I can reassign the park tickets to a different person but I don't see an options to modify the date. Can UT modify dates? I am not looking forward to being hold for long periods of time with both UT and Disney.

We bought ours from UT and Disney has already changed them. We didn’t have to do anything. Ours now say that they are good from March 24-Dec. 15. We have already changed our reservations to June. We will be adding days and the hopper option onto our tickets but we will wait to call until the dust settles. We don’t have to make fastpasses until mid April. I tried to do it online but it wouldn’t let me.
