How would I get an Express Pass?

Considering a sort-of last minute 1st trip for my 7yo and myself. Wanted to stay at Royal Pacific but since our September trip turned into June, all the standard rooms are sold out. I'm now looking at Cabana Bay - probably better for a 7yo anyway.

I can get the 2+3 free tickets for 405.98 (base) right now through a discount service my employer has (this seems better than anything else I can find, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.) We aren't interested in paying the extra for the train.

Considering we usually Disney is September, I am worried about June crowds and wanted the express pass, but I'm on the fence. My daughter does just fine in lines, but anything over 30 minutes is too much for me too. My daughter doesn't like "big" rides - for example - 7DMT at Disney is her max. IDK how this translates to her ride choices at Universal, I haven't made it that far. She is about 54" so IDK if that plays a role - she's big for her age so she can get on most things but just doesn't want to normally.

Should I get the express pass? How would I add it on? How do I determine the cost? Should I just get it a few days? Not really considering offsite since I will be the only adult (and I'm used to my husband "leading" - I need getting around to be as easy as possible, therefore we won't have a car).

There's a choice between regular EP and Unlimited.

Regular EP you get to use the EP once per ride. Good choice if you don't go on the same ride multiple times.

Unlimited there's no limit to how many times you can go on each ride.

I'm not 100% sure because I didn't click on each date, but it looks like EPs are from $99-$149 per person per day (in June), depending on which days you go. You actually have to pick a "date" that you will be using them to get the correct prices.

The prices are also based on if you're doing Park-to-Park each day, or one park per day.

Remember that you don't need to purchase it in advance. If you get there and find you need it, you will see it for sale in almost all the shops.
