How worth it is it to do this?

Suddenly I've been thinking about adding an ADR for TREX to our trip. We're on the dining plan & I know that it's not included but I've been looking at the restaurant lately and while we're three girls we really enjoy themed restaurants and the menu looks pretty good. So what I'd end up doing is forgetting about eating at Planet Hollywood and switch that to eating at TREX, paying OOP. Then I'd add an ADR for breakfast at Boma [in place of the TS credit we would've used at Planet Hollywood].

Does this sound like a dumb plan? Has anyone been to TREX & really enjoyed it? And what about breakfast at Boma?

Thanks SO much!

I would definately do that! We ate at TREX for the first time in June and we all loved it. The food was excellent and the theming is amazing.
I have never had the pleasure of eating at BOMA for breakfast but I have heard wonderful things about it.
I would definately skip Planet Hollywood and add TREX and BOMA to your list. :)

sounds good to me, we really enjoyed Boma. We had a 7:30am adr and were the first and few ones in which made it very pleasant. I want to go to T-Rex too, hope you enjoy it.

Can't give any feedback on Boma for Bfast--but it gets good reviews.

TRex food is decent--HOWEVER, the atmosphere is chaotic. Oh heck, it's BEYOND chaotic.:goodvibes I can't say that I'd go back, but it was interesting to do once. The youngsters in our party (ages 6,3,1) weren't bothered by it but know this is not a relaxing meal for adults.

We really enjoyed T-Rex! I don't hear great things about Planet Hollywood. I would definitely go with your new plan. If anyone in your party likes tuna I would definitely try the Triasic Tuna appy, it was amazing!
The restaurant is LOUD and chaotic, for a slightly calmer and quieter experience while still having the meteor shower, request a table in the back of the restaurant, big difference in sound level as opposed to the front!

Not dumb at all..I would definately do it! TRex is very cool on the inside. We have only had drinks and apps at the bar, but everything was very good. Looking around at the people who were having meals, the portions are huge, lol, and everything looked and smelled delicious.

Breakfast at Boma is always great!

Okay, thanks guys! I'm really think I'm gonna go for it.

A side question - they don't have the Zebra Domes at Boma for breakfast do they? That'd just be too perfect.

T-Rex is great for walking around and shopping. Their food is HORRIBLY over priced. Two burgers, a chicken plate, a kids meal and one dessert cost us over $100 before gratuity. I expect to pay more because of the theming, but that was just absurd. We could get a character meal for that price.

We will go back, but only to shop.

No zebra domes at breakfast but still worth a trip, was a favourite meal for my family. Oh and don't forget you can get them as a snack at The Mara food court there.

I have a Q to piggy back on this topic if I may? :goodvibes
When we walked by TRex a few weeks ago it look like a slightly different themed Rainforest Cafe (which we really don't care for). Is that about what it is? I didn't see the shopping area. Too many people crowded around it I guess. me:) + crowds:crowded::crowded:=:scared::scared::scared: :faint:
