How will you be dealing with the extra security screenings?

In the past, my fiance has had his employer and his bank called to verify he "had roots" in Toronto when flying into the States (because he's brown) after secondary screening at the airport. As we prepare for our upcoming trip to Florida, we're hoping we have the bases covered by carrying with us:

- copy of our daughter's Catholic baptism certificate (no Muslim terrorist would ever allow that to happen!)
- copy of our mortgage papers
- copy of the deed to our property
- our work ID's
- letter of employment

Anything else you take with you to ease the process?

Daughter's long form birth certificate.
Record of landing.
Sincere, innocent (if slightly strained) smile.

And I do take seriously my mom's warnings about clean underwear since a friend was given the option of strip search or not getting on a flight...

Wow..my DH is Asian and he really doesn't look Asian....he looks brown. We have never had an issue getting on a flight but we always travel with our Canadian Passports. He even had to go home to his fathers funeral 3 weeks after 9/11 and got on the flight without incident. Let me say though, that I was a nervous wreck about him taking that flight. It was probably a good thing I wasn't going....I doubt that they would have let me on...I was in a sweat for 2 days until I heard that he had arrived.
